Car is dead!!
Well as some of you may have heard I had a little incident with the turn 3 wall at racecity on Friday.
My quote to get it fixed with all new OEM Mazda parts was $18000 *ouch*
At that price I can't justify it. I may have to sell it as is, or part it out
Anyways here is a pic.

Holy Crap that sucks. It was one of the cleanest FDs I have seen. Glad to see that you are ok though.
Mazda stock parts are always pricey, how about the aftermarket? Or doing a Ebay/Forum blitz for used parts? Would be a real shame to part it out.

Ouch. It's painful to see bent FD sheet metal.
Don't part it out.
Gotta be able to find parts. Take your time and start cruising the FS/WTB sections.
Make a plan.
Too bad it wasn't driveable or else you could've had an 'accident' on the road and have insurance to help out.

I think they would have figured it out though since I spent the night in the hospital after leaving race city in an Abulence.
Just remembe this is for all new OEM parts. I have already found sources for some of the stuff, but things like air bag sensors are really hard to come by.

I can't see much from that picture, but that doesn't look worse than what I did to my FC last December. I had a minor frame pull and that part was only $200 where I took it and up to $300 elsewhere. I would encourage you to fix the car.
It's a tough break, but at least it happened while you were having fun with it on the track. If you're going to crash a car, better that it was in the process of it doing what it was made for than in some silly road incident. Good luck and keep us posted.

Ya the airbag knocked me out!! It also burnt my face pretty bad. I was doin between 60 and 100 kmh.
I really don't think I can afford to fix it.
Anyone have idea of what its worth as it sits?

Let's see...
Original Engine, body looks toast, interior was alright... Frame damage...
I honestly have no idea.. I'm thinking like 5 grand? I honestly don't have a clue.. Just taking a wild guess...

the sweet thing is it wasn't on the road so insurance doesn't have to know . so the title can stay clear, just need a really good body man. there have been fire damaged ones in the triad around here for 9000 still, but thats way up there, so 5k sounds good, but thats a huge loss
