Sure if I could weld. I would think purchase a manufactured one would be the quickest and easiest way.

I may have a hiccup in my plans.

It seems the government of canada doesn't like my birth certificate.

I re-applied for my passport last month and was told it would be ready on April 3rd. I received a call yesterday from passport canada saying I'd have to apply for another birth certificate and send that in. I've done so, but my certificate has to come from Quebec and may take another week. This might delay my passport issuance until after DGRR... I've asked them to rush, so we'll see.

My rush birth certificate arrived and I've sent it back in to passport canada. I see no reason I won't be able to attend DGRR. I'm not sure I'm going to drive my 7 though. I think I'll be attending in my MS3... No final decisions yet though... My 7 is still at the bodyshop finishing its winter paint job and I need my fuel system put in before I'd make the drive... then I'd need a tune...

It's more about the long drive though... 11 hours crammed in an RX7 Vs. the roomier speed3

Good luck with that! 11 hours even Google says 14 hours. That's non-stop, no traffic, eat & **** while your driving and no tornadoes. Yes, two years ago 22 hours with a tornado touch downs on the route we were taking. See you there!

I figure I can do it in 11... I used to make the drive quite a bit when I was younger... I have a lot of family in Tenessee/North Carolina... hell I did Toronto to Florida in 22 hours when I was in my early 20's.

Time will tell though.

See you there

Its official registered & shared cabin room payed for! Look's like the canadian contigent will be really small this year. Usually we have a few drop outs at the last minute how about this year we have a few last minute registers! Marcos get your car finish and drag IAN along, it just won't be the same without few of 7 canadian members, I see your both registered.

Good idea CloudPump. I'm leaving Thursday morning and taking the most direct GPS route. I'm flying solo since I'm towing my car and can't go too fast with it. I'll have a good assortment of tools so if anyone needs help, feel free to call...

I'll be happy to stop by, however I'm not leaving here until tomorrow around 10am-ish. As mentioned earlier, I have an appointment at 8:55 tomorrow morning that I can't miss. After that, I'm on the road.

I'm staying at the Microtell Inn... no idea what room number as I haven't checked in yet

Again, cell number is Four One Six - Four Two Eight - Zero Four Two Two

I'm also booked at the Microtel in Bryson City.
I'm hitting the road on Thursday and hoping to get to Lexington by nightfall.
It's cold and wet outside, and my heater doesn't work either; damn Logicon, got to fix that someday.
Fun fun fun.

Your driver side door looks open. If it is complete why not drive it down so you can start breaking it in?
