I just leafed through most of the new standards. Anything I saw just says it has to be of "oem standard". It can be aftermarket it just has to meet and be installed to oem standard. No hack job installs or cheap junk parts. I wouldn't be too concerned. Also, all safeties are partial to the inspecting mechanic so just find a good technician.

Honestly I read it and thought the same thing. Maybe i am missing something? The only concern I can see is the ride height area.

After working in the automotive aftermarket area for years, I know there is a ton of cheap dangerous crap on the market. This legislation seems to just want the products to be oem level or better.

Even the ride height thing isn't really an issue. They will just be looking for differences in ride height from side to side which would indicate sagged or broken springs etc. They aren't looking for differences from the factory ride height specs.

Well for the legalization of 420 I wouldn't mind give it up a bit on the car laws
