Canadian FD Models?
Canadian FD Models?
Sorry if this is an insanely noob question. I do not trust wikipedia.
What model(s) of FD did we get in Canada and what were the specific differences between them?
Also, I'm sure there were differences between the model years but were there any significant changes from 93-95?
Did the US get any models we did not?
Please be as elaborate as you can!
Thanks.

Same models as the USA.
Base (no sunroof, no leather, AT/MT)
Touring PEP (auto climate, leather, cruise, sunroof/glassroof, 1 oil cooler, MT/AT, heaviest, bose sound system)
R1/R2 (no cruise, front strut bar, rear spoiler, twin oil cooler, suede seats, chin spoiler, MT)
1994+ interior plastics have a textured finish.
Canadian rear bumper reinforcement is different than USA and side markers. Bigger washer tank. km/h
Canadian VIN starts JM1FD332 (For 1993 cars)
Search the forum. Should be plenty of 1993 vs 1994+ threads.

Canada didn't get the specific "R1" model.
Instead, there where a few "25th Anniversary" edition FD's made. Similar to the R1, but only available in black. It had special floor mats, decals and cruise control.
It's a very rare model indeed, and you've probably got a better chance at scoring with a Victoria's Secret model than finding one.
