Calgary Spring Meet 2007
Well, its that time again. We missed out on our winter beater meet, so I thought we should look at a date for our spring fling.
Glenmore Park
A Saturday or Sunday in MAY. Whichever doesnt fall on the long weekend.
Let the suggestions come.

Okay, let's nail it down to May 12 or 13 th to vote on. These dates are "FINAL", now let's pick from the 2 and choose a meeting place. Perhaps COP with a Cochrane cuise perhaps?? Or maybe a breakfast meet at Ricki's by Ikea on the sunday?? (Hell, maybe even pick a corner of the Ikea lot, breakfast at ikea is only about 2 bucks). Dates are final, they don't interfere with the long weekend, not toooo close to Brett's bbq meet and most of the gravel should be gone. Let's work out the rest and then we will post a final meeting thread.

I just found out that my FD won't be here til near the end of May so I won't be able to bring that along. But I may come down in the dodge, or see if I can convince Crymson to take me in his fd.

Final date and time will be Sunday May 13. Meeting place will be the NW corner of the Deerfoot mall parking lot. Plenty of room for all to park, easy access from Deerfoot Trail, and "no speed bumps". Depending on the showing we could consider a Cochrane run from there. I had thought about Denny's, Ricki's, A&W etc but everyone usually hangs around outside and parking would be an issue if they're busy.

Clubs are for owners AND Enthusiasts. Not every enthusiast is an owner.
Last year we had at least 6 people in non-mazda automobiles. Everyone there, however, was an Rx-7 or Rotary enthusiat. Most were both. (Poke at the V8 Swap Lovers ).
All are welcome from far and wide.
But less talk about the summer BBQ, simply because I dont even know if we can hold it at brett's house this year. I havent even begun to consult him. Lets keep this thread geared towards the impending spring fling.

Put me down as a 'maybe'; May 13th is Mother's Day, but I can probably come out for a bit.
Seems to me the first meet of the year in 2006 was also on M-Day. Do you have something against moms, Gary?

I've got a date with a peaceful demonstration.
I'll be fighting to the right of all you JDM owners to keep importing at 15 and not
25 years as has been suggested.

Good luck guys, I'm going to really miss this meet, but I gotta get my wedge seen, and the issue of importer rights looked at in depth.
On another note, any JDM 7 owners who live in Northern Alberta could always join
us in fighting the 15 year rule...
Hey Gary, any chance at the prior weekend for the meet?
