Calgary RX7 Meet Gallery / Calgary Public Uploads

Alright gentlemen, finally have had some time to polish off the gallery I said I would setup.

Calgary RX7 Meet Gallery

I like quality so I kept all 500-600 megs or so of the 7 megapixel versions available if you use the size selector in the top right hand corner when you're looking at the pics.

If you'd like to be able to post your own pictures, just register an account and toss me a PM on here with your username on the gallery so I can setup your access rights.

I'll be posting some movies and maybe a few other things later if I get around to it. Enjoy

Back from the dead... That seems to me what we should do for the Alberta rotary scene... Been so quiet past 2-3 years IMO...

Calgary has been dead for over 5 years!

Last great rotary meet was over 7 years ago...June 25, 2006

Great meet, city and country cruise and bbq all in one great day with perfect weather! And no tickets!!!

Still yet to be duplicated...thanks Brett (and not to be mentioned ex wife since he upgraded to a new wife and moved far far away)

Worth mention is that I bought the black gslse next to my red one a year later, and the white gslse 3 years ago

I liked Shaun's Silver FD. I wonder what the old FD owners are upto these days. ED V had a beautiful car.

I remember that meet - the yard was already filled when I got there, the street out front followed. Yes, we haven't done anything for Calgary meets for years it seems - or I've missed them.

A couple of us hang out when we can but we all work ridiculous oilfield rotations. Last year I put 10,000 kms on the car. This year, I've put on none.

I remember coming to a 7 meet years ago with a 89 mark I had at the time just wanting to get around some rotary people..

I loved the sound of the supercharged FB I seen their too.. It was a mix of two of the greatest noises ever, nice supercharger whine, and a swarm of angry bees.

It feels for any kinda of a meet now, people need to drug them by their feet... Even Edmonton Rx-7 club seems to be slow for Friday night meets...

My $0.02

I agree on more Alberta rotary action! It is way tougher with shift work rotations to get people together, I used to attend rotary meets like every month and also got a decent annual Canada day meet going in Victoria before moving to Alberta. I don't know if there's still time this year or what but I definitely want to try harder next year to come down to Edmonton/Calgary for some rotary meets or even a decent autocross.

I'm going to be participating heavily in track events in edmonton starting next year. I'll post up here when there are spots available or spectators are allowed. Maybe start up some meets around the events.

I probably should have invited Calgary RX-7s out to the Calgary Sports Car Club or Southern Alberta Solo Club autocross events too - we just had one yesterday, besides myself there's usually a couple other 7s competing. Only thing is there's no local venue, so all events are in Red Deer (CSCC) or Fort Macleod (SASC) currently. Not that I mind, it's an excuse to drive an hour and a half to either venue in my 7. There are still a couple events on the calendar for SASC - Sept 28-29, and Oct 5-6 (assuming the weather holds, which it should).
