AND

Sorry Guys for so many posts.

There was a meet in Kelowna Mentioned earlier in the thread.

Its a Miata ONLY Meet from May 27th to 29th. Its called the Topless Sun Run. The Okanagan Valley Miata Club hosts it every year. I was reading some early pages of the thread and seen that posted with no relevant answer. I just thought I'd clear that up for anyone planning to drive 7 hours and find out theres no parking or housing for none other than the MX-5.

Hey i'm from the mazda3forums and funky buddha from the protege club informed us of your meet at Glenmore park on May 14th. Just to give you guys a heads up we've planned to meet at the same location on the same date around the same time at 1pm.
Its possible we could meet up at a set time to have a pretty big meet.
Let me know what you guys think.

I found a fabulous spot. Parking areas E and F accessed through the 37th Street entry. One way only through the park for some reason. Parking Area's are direct oppisite to each other and have the road running straight through. Washroom and large field located there. However theres no large picknick area, only 1 table and a BBQ. Parking is good for 18 spots a lot, but they are large enough to double that and not hinder traffic. 32 Spots should be enough.

There is also spots G and H. Same setup only no washroom or field. There is a large 8 table picknick area. The Lots are much smaller but I think we could manage the same amount of cars.

Someone should drive through to get a second opinion. I'll probably be there tomorrow if any one wants to hook up for a small cruise or something. I'll post tonight what time I'll be there.

Access is only through 37th Steet SW.

And to reserve the necessary parking spots. Of course, there will inevitably be the odd outsider parking there and insisting on staying put. We could bribe him with a burger. Or if that doesn't work, say something to the effect of "Jeez, ya know, there's always a jerk in every crowd, even ours. Hopefully nobody will key your car out of spite. I'll do my best to make sure that doesn't happen, but dammit, I came here to socialize, not babysit. Are you sure you don't want a burger?"

cant remeber if i posted it, to lazy to search this massive thread.
well now that we are prolly gonna have 40+ cars... i still think parkin lot 3 is the best. there is a parking lot right across for all non wankel cars and anyone without numb-chuck skills...

PARKING LOT 3 has 60 stalls, so that should be more than enough for all cars(w/pistons too). i need 2 spots though, the table for food. the best part is that it has 1 entrance and 1 exit. easier to politely ask people to go away. i was thinking of signs to help deture people, but there is something gay about the idea. just my thoughts. there is no washrooms or firepits nearby. we are right against the water though.

im goin tomorrow to get all the stuff, dont forget your cameras!

bah, 2 in the afternoon. gonna be hard to get us all together anywhere! maybe the gay sign idea is a good thing. what do you guys think. i could grab a couple things like: /\_\ from work and put mazda meet on them, my wife has tons of big paper and paint from her ACA days. yes, i take the nerd of the year award.

Well lessee now--- last time I talked to Alak he had this little dilemma about getting both his 7 and his Miata to the meet. Maybe you could arrange with him to pilot one of those. Alak?

I dont feel comfortable with anyone driving my RX-7.......... which leaves my miata....

Ahem. Anyways. As it stands, Im muffler-less on my RX-7. Thats all it really needs. I have no money for such things. B-ROB has a set he's willing to sell me, unsure weither they are shot or not. I just dont have the money for anything right now. Looks like my 7 just may miss this one.
