Calabogie TRACK days 2007- Ottawa
Motorsport Club of Ottawa
2007 “Lapping Days” at Calabogie Motorsports Park
The Motorsport Club of Ottawa in co-operation with Calabogie Motorsports Park is pleased to announce our inaugural season of ‘lapping days.’
MCO will be offering a safe, fun, value packed program of lapping days in 2007, in conjunction with some of the premier events taking place at Calabogie Motorsports Park.
Dates:
Monday, April 23
Friday, June 22*
Thursday, July 26**
Friday, October 5***
* - Friday preceding the Calabogie round of the CASC-OR SoloSprint championship.
** - Thursday preceding the Ted Powell CASC-OR Regional Race at Calabogie. This is currently planned as a ‘no noise limits’ day.
*** - Friday preceding the 2nd Annual MCO Goodwood in the Valley track weekend at Calabogie
Cost:
$250 Motorsport Club of Ottawa Club Members
$275 Non-members.
General Information:
Lapping days will be divided into two run groups, with one of the group being populated with more novice drivers, and the second group populated with more experienced drivers.
Racers and race cars are welcome, with the understanding that this is NOT a test day. Test days are available on the Friday preceding the Ted Powell Regional race, and possibly other times throughout the year.
All cars (including race cars) must meet Calabogie sound restrictions (93 dB as measured on track).
The course will be fully staffed with marshals, fire, rescue and ambulance.

pending bigger plans/car not working, i plan on going to all but the first.
it looked pretty busy last year, but still must have been fun.

i hope my car isn't over the sound limit. last year i was surprised at what didn't pass.

I would definilty test the car with the silencer installed for safety
.And I doubt Ill drive on the track , but Ill watch for sure and get rides hopefully

amazing, I will make it to at least 1 of them... not too cheap unfortunately... but offset by the fact that it isnt far from Ottawa. We shouild arrange a date when a bunch of the rx-7 guys are thinking about going..

Yes , to my knoledge and what I read. It will be the full track.

yeah if it weren't the closest track to me, it'd be too expensive.
as for the question about how many cars, there were quite a lot the last event but that was the first event. probably 100 cars or more? at any given time maybe 40. it was real busy. hopefully it won't be so bad this summer, but most likely it will be.
