Brampton Rx7 Owner (needs help)

Hey everyone,

Well I ended up picking up another rx7 just a few months back, its a 2nd gen 86 GXL (red with black leather / fully loaded) only 120 verified km's...

Now the downfall on the vehicle is simple.... Its an automatic, I have talked to a few friends who have some ls1 / lt1 frond ends available, however im reluctant to put a v8 into this car (simply because of the gas consumption).

So I have come to a conclusion that really, the engine is great so lets leave it be, but an auto / manual swap is a must (that’s where I need some help from you guys) if anyone here can lend a hand (helping with finding some of the parts needed to complete this swap) that would be great (I went to a few wreck yards and im coming up empty handed here guys).

Another issue with the car is the paint, apparently the owner had this car sitting around for a few years, and the paint has clearly been affected by the sun (the red is almost whitish). Im looking at getting this car painted , and in the same token adding a decent body kit (any suggestions to a canadian source would be great).

Well , thanks for taking the time to read this post, if you can help in anyway i would greatly appreciate it

Thanks

Look up Classic auto on the forum, Me and my bro had a chance to meet him at a meet and he seem's to really take painting proper seriously

how far is hagersville from brampton? lmfao..anyways alex, you can try just calling around, by this I mean calling the wrecking yards and asking if they have any rx7 parts in. Or you could buy a beat up seven from someone (rust bucket w/e) that's mechanically sound and use it as a part's car. Another option would be to source a tranny from say, tiger japanese or another importer.

I have the parts you want, and i am in brampton as well... you can have them for cheap, just that you have to pull them out yourself.
