Unhappy Brakes - Please Advise

Here is the situation, if you have any pointers please post them;

1988 10AE with ABS
ABS light has been on for about 7 years, and the brakes previously operated just fine there was just no ABS
When I took the car out of storage this spring there was much more pedal travel than I could remember, and when braking hard it got worse with one of the rears locking up when you press the pedal down all of the way
I bled the brakes a few times with no change
I had the front calipers rebuilt and this situation just got worse (pads and rotors have enough material all the way around)
Bled the system again - same thing

Rich (Amur) was even nice enough to try and rebleed the system with me at 6:30 AM before the M.O.M. but this did not change things

I parked the car after deciding that it wasn't really safe to make the trip.

A lot of advise so far seems to be determining that this is a Master Brake Cylinder problem - or ABS unit problem

Please Help

sounds to me like a master cyl. - the fluid is most likely by-passing the cylinder - and by the sounds of it, its the only part you haven't replaced or rebuilt yet
try chucking one on and see what ya get

You have a pinhole leak in your master cylinder...
Replace ASAP it will only get worse.
