Hey Jim,

Any chance I can take George's time slot on Saturday morning and you can have my spot for your tuning customer?

Hey Joe,

I had an unfortunate event happen, my megasquirt got somewhat fried yesterday. I'm hoping to get it fixed in time, but I'm just throwing it as a warning that I might not be able to make it. I know I already gave you a deposit, and I'll give you atleast 2 weeks notice if I don't get it up and running.

EDIT::

All cars must be mechanically sound, you're coming in for a tune NOT REGULAR MAINTENANCE. No leaks, no bad/bald tires all fluids have been checked and topped up, tire pressure/wheel torque cheked. For those tuning new engines, please have at least 1500km's of break in time so you engine condition doesn't change quickly after the tune.

Check list:
Full tank of fuel you'll be running regularly (94, or for those in the country 91)
New fuel filter
New plugs
Have your ECU accessible for mapping
Make sure your boost controller is hooked up and functioning, bring your manual with you if you're unfamiliar with setting it up!!
Intercooler piping and couplers are in good shape and leak free
Check your wastegate lines are protected from heat and are well connected

PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY FOR YOUR SLOT.

Its tough enough to run into an issue that comes up during the tune, so eliminate every problem or possibility of a problem before you get there to ensure you get the most out of your time. Why pay for a tune and spend the time fixing leaks? Ya dig??

If I don't see you on your day, have a good session and HAVE FUN!!

Ok Joe, you will get your paypal when I get home from work, so about 430ish.

I like how you put 91 for people who live in the country LOL, I'm still pissed about them taking that away, they (Suncor) could never give me a straight answer as to why they did it on the phone, just that the will be doing a market study, anywho enough of that, I'll send you the money tonight.

I'm still going to have a look over each car, Joe. Most every single time there's atleast something little that's wrong or needs to be changed. Alot of the common stuff I run into is rubber lines near the turbocharger, turbine housings that aren't blanketed (they ought to be), unknown vacuum leaks (cracked or missing vacuum caps, loose clamps, etc) are some I can think of off the top of my head. Part of being a tuner is also being a mechanic :o

Your going to be next to a mechanic that should have anything you need so you'll always have what you need to fix it quick I imagine. You might want to talk to Dave (Mazdee's) before starting or I'm not sure if your bringing your own stuff.

Yep, there's always going to be something, but I don't want these guys wasting your time and their money while you install new intercooler couplers or something. Anything easily caught should be taken care of before they come. In the past there's always someone who shows up totally un-prepared, and the worst case is it screws up the day for everyone because their time gets pushed back or something.

I just wanted to remind everyone to get EVERYTHING they can think of in good working order before hand to minimize the things you'l lfind when going over the car.

Have a good look over you're car or have a shop do it for you....you must come prepared! We have allowed 3hours per car...thats it! You're going to get the best bange for you're buck if Brian can spend the whole 3 hours tuning and not fixing.
Check list:
Full tank of the fuel you will be running (94 octane)
New gas filter
Belt and hoses are in as new shape
New plugs
Have your ECU accessible for mapping
Please make sure boost controllers are hooked up and working
Intercooler, piping, couplers, clamps all in good shape
Please arrive well before you’re dyno time

Anything eles you would like to add Brian? Feel free to do so.

I changed my fuel filter today too... Also invented swear words, but ****, that stuff stings in the eyes. But drove the car around the block again... drives so nice, I'm excited, is it May 3rd yet?

Oh, and I bought 260 bucks in crap from Mazdatrix too. Now to find a new body, and start clean!

Trust me FC fuel filters are in a great location compared to the FD. FD fuel filters are located above the Differential mounted to the body. You have to have xray vision to see the bloody thing and then be a contortinist to actually remove it.
