Auto to 5 speed swap?
I think I have an illness, just bought a 89 vert at an auction that I was supposed to get a winter car for my wife. Damn thing is an automatic, anybody know what is involved in switching to 5 speed? (she is keen on driving it for the summer

Pressure plate/ clutch
Clutch Master, flex line, slave

Custom trans mount
5spd driveshaft
Shifter surround
Some wiring.
I think you can leave the Auto ECU in it ???

Yes they are balenced differently. The 87 flywheel is meant for the 86-88 heavier engine rotors. You will need an 89-91 N/A flywheel or everything will be off balence.

I got the Pedal assembly if you need it..maybe a master and Slave,lines,actually I got the flywheel and a GOOD clutch pressure plate TOO!.if you are thinkin this Route,Gooch,I will GIVE YOU them..FREE..just pay shipping or arrange Pick up(see location) somehow!..let me know,If Interested I will give you a contact #,Address..Via PM.Take care,STYX!~
