Same here, to early to jump on this ship. With 6 month I might be dead or worse a vegetable.
If I go I may be looking for a passenger to help with the gas again. Scottish is taking his 8 if he goes this year.

Registration is $30. If you can't make it you are out of $30. Not to big of a deal. I already have vacation approved/booked. Something may happen in between but if it does oh well I will miss out on the $30 and just give my spot away....

Not sure who is Volunteering to book the cabin but the best price is to book the cabin right away as last year the cabins were booked very early. You can always book other cabins/hotels around but its nice to be where everyone else is.

So rxeckless.. Wanna meet up some time to discuss the cruise down?

I myself will have a spot open for a passenger to share expenses if my brother does not come down this year... Funny the expensive part of this whole thing is just the gas.

So who here can actually make a commitment?

I listed 5 as that is about how many can fit in one cabin.... + or - a few pending cabin...

I want to be able to do it with my own car this coming year, but I have to find out my job situation first.
Too early to commit.
Probably know sometime in Feb. or so.

You know your welcome to drop in and get a rotary fix anytime. Another winter of mods for both Doug and myself. Generally every other weekend, come for a beer or the special hot chocolate.

Whoa, whoa, whoa!?!?!? FREE BEER????? I like the sound of this!

Anyway back on topic. The real benefit to registering early is getting the best deal on the cabin. The sooner you register and book a cabin the bigger the discount you get on the cabin. I'm going to try and make a decision soon if I'm going or not this year. If I do go I'll either ride with someone or I'll need a passenger to help foot the bill. Last years trip hurt the bank account pretty bad.

Normally, I would just post my name. But I think I'll wait until we are closer this time around. Car is working and not making any mechanical changes to it but you never know.

I'm going to register pretty soon, I am going to try out a cabin on location this year to spend more "fun" driving and less "have to" driving like when I was staying in Gatlinburg.

I'm so "meh" about it this year

maybe it's just been too long and I've forgotten.

I do keep checking the sigma website daily so I can register the minute it's open.

http://www.nvnc.com/lodging_specs.php?intid=39 or the Nyrapacha
First one is a 5 bedroom and second a 4 bedroom. Pay for two nights get the third night free. Everyone will have to pre pay. If you cannot make it it will be your responsibility to either find a replacement person or be out the cash. Last year we had some no shows or late cancellations that ended up costing a few individuals extra. Already cabins have been booked. the 20% discount is done dec 15th.

So hopefully we can have a few ins then we can book the cabins with the full 20% discount... Pending show of interest will dictate cabins being booked. You can even book 1 bedroom suites which costs the same as splitting a big house up in the hill with a view...

Oooh, a pool table! I like the sound of that other cabin. I also like Nyrapacha though too. The view from that cabin is beautiful.

Should hear tomorrow to find out if I get the loan for school or not. If I do I'll just say I'm out, if I don't I'll commit and pre-pay for the cabin.

So we waited to late. Everything almost booked. Left very little options.

I booked Top of the Mountain Unit 220 only 4bedroom left at the resort which we had three years ago. Unit last year is unavailable. http://www.nvnc.com/lodging_specs.php?intid=26

What they did have left was Spring Ridge 15mins away and Mountain Reflections 40 mins away. (What do you guys want?) I have to call back and reconfirm otherwise we loose our Top of the mountain booking.

So Top of the mountain for three days is $760. We need to pick which day to have it since we can have it thursday or monday. Each additional night is approx $350. Additional people welcome and will make the costs cheaper. Coach/floor or airmattress (IF individual brings one) may be an option. Maybe we can have a cheaper price for those bunking on the floor?

We will post a plan of the Blue Ridge mountain cruise to DGRR12 as Scottish#1, RXeckless and I plan on doing a leasuire drive down.

I've got way too much to sort out to be worrying about anything.

If I do trek on down, I'd like to join the Blue Ridge Run on the way down.
