Appraisals in Ontario

This is mainly a question for all the guys that have recently transferred ownership of their 20+ year old cars.

I'm getting mixed answers with this and I was just wondering what it took in terms of the value on which you are taxed.

So basically, did you guys have to get your cars appraised, and if so, where did you go to get this done?

Thanks!

You Unfortunately Get Taxed On Which Ever One Is Higher.... The Amount You Payed Or The Appraisal Value. Government Just Found Another Way To Weasel Money Out Of Us.

lol indeed. I got lucky on this one though, turns out my dealership does appraisals and I got mine done for free with the amount declared whatever I wanted.
