Toronto? As in Canada?

Posted in the South lounge?

Toronto is south of not much...

Might I suggest a more frigid forum?

Dyson glad you found us. If you look at the post about the 'RX Club of Ontario first meet' you will see that you have impeccable timing. Come out to the first meet. One of our members is working on a group discount to Formula Kartways for future meets.

I suggested to a few ppl.. that we should go to Formula Kartways tomorrow SATURDAY APRIL 2nd... about 10pm would be awesome.

It would be great to get everyone together for some racing. How many can formula kartways accomodate at once?
I'm in for sure, as well as a few friends possibly.

Thumbs up Formula Kartways Timeslips

OK.. here are the race results. My friends were very pleased with my results, however I was not. I feel I can shave quite a bit off my E.T. yet.

First.. I will post OTHERS times from Formula Kartways in order to embellish myself .

RidicilousRx7 on Dec. 27/03 :
Cart #19

Lap Time
06 33.80
13 33.82
19 33.82
16 33.84
11 33.87

Average Time : 34.16

20B-3Rotor Dec 27/03:
Cart #10

Lap Time
19 33.70
12 33.72
09 33.90
07 33.93
11 34.01

Average Time : 35.15

Cheers! Dec 27/03
Best lap = 35.12

ACTION RT date unknown
Best lap = 34.14

Now my results :
RUN #1 Apr 2/05
Cart #3

05 33.29
13 33.29
15 33.47
11 33.53
14 33.53

Avg time: 34.67

Run#2 same day.. 30mins later.
Cart#6

13 32.89
11 33.18
20 33.23
08 33.27
12 33.41

Avg time: 34.29

Both of my average times seem high because I was held up for a bit each time. I like how at formula you can go above and analyze racing line, to give yourself a better idea of where you should be.
It was an awesome time.. gas fumes are still burning my contacts.

Oh, and I forgot to post..
apparently the lap record @ F. Kartways is in the higher 31's. 31.7 or something apparently, set by one of the employees named Mike.

The fastest lap of the day was a 31.88 set in CART#6.

When I hopped in kart6.. it was running rich.. ran like **** @ lower rpms.. ran GREAT up top. I had to make sure I really ran smooth laps, otherwise it would bog on lower rpm's.

I also asked if they would let us on the track with private karts. apparently this isnt allowed. Sucks eh? I think a shifterkart would be amazing in there. I find that the karts are really good, but don't have the torque and the horsepower they need out of the hole.
Also, a higher top speed would be cool.
The karts are all standardized as well as possible. They all run a 7.5Hp Honda engine with a 2:1 gear drive reduction and clutch.
So now.. imagine a 29hp 5spd kart on a stiffer, better setup chassis? twenty some second laps would become a breeze, and in such a tight track.. gear selection, shifting speed would also play a part in driver skill rather than gas, brake.

Like my above post states... I'm a bit dissapointed that I am a bit over a FULL SECOND slower than the track record. However I'm almost a full second faster than anyone else who posted their timeslips on the forum .

Who else wants to improve besides me? All in fun of course
Daryl
