Here some more pics
Thought all would have seen it by now. Guess I was wrong
Its a 1974 coupe.
33000 original miles
original very shiny perfect paint on every panel
original perfect interior
original 13B rotary
all original trim in perfect condition
Got it this past fall from the original owner, she is in one of the pictures. She was a car nut and babied it every year along with rust proofing and no winters.
So are any of you in Montreal?

Thanks for both comments. She is clean. I was shocked when the ldy opened her garage. I could not believe what I was looking at. It was also the first real life RX4 I have or had seen for that matter. There are none that I have seen in Montreal or at any car shows that I have ever been to (never been to a Rotary only show). As far as I know there are no old school Mazda's in Montreal with the exception of some early 1st gen RX7's.
Still no one in Montreal replied.
thanks again,
Max

I'd rather not say-exactly. To some you might say I paid alot. The old lady was so cute and I couldn't take advantage of her. What would it change my life to have saved a few thousand more that day, but for her she was sad and kept it for me like new all these years. It ws like she was putting her chile up for adoption. I'm a softy. But again, not too soft as her original asking price was very high. I gave her my offer and waited 3 months before I came in to get it. Durring that time she had other offers but none as high as mine as she could have sold it. Put it this way, I assumed that if I were to buy one that needed parts, body work, trim replcement, interior, and paint I would have spent the money anyway and would have to wait at least a year to enjoy. At the same tie that car would surly have been in the US costing to bring it in.
Plus, an all original car these days is hard to come by. Now an all original vintage RX is even harder. Now place that car in Canada and its next to impossible. After all a car can only be original once in its life time and some collectors are now starting to recognize that as being worth more than a restored unit.

Yes it is the one that was in the Auto Trader last year. Poor ad and WAY to high of an asking price listed at $20 000.00 Canadian Dollars. I dont recall but I think the model "RX4 Coupe" was even written in the ad, just Mazda and 1974. The picture was very poor as well. And no I did not pay $20K.
I was shocked to find out what it was when I called and had to fly down to Windsor and rent a car and drive to Chatham as they have no airport. The owner and the guy helping her had no email or fax machine for pictures and had to mail me by post a few very poor pictures taken with a instant polaroid that had old film in it. I dont know what made me fly down to see it but I was glad I did. When that garage opened...... I did not bother with inspections and gave her a deposit. I had 45 minutes to drive back to Winsdor Airport, return the rental, and catch my flight back to Montreal.
Below is the original picture used for the ad.

I won't be my daily driver I plan on only using her on nice sunny days and maybe attend some shows here and there.
But, I am affraid to drive her and have something happen. I am starting to look for spare parts to stock up on.

When I lived in Montreal there was an older guy near me (on the West Island) that had an Rx-3. It was mustard yellow and until I saw it on the road and realized what it was, I thought it was a corolla! Anyway, the car was usually in the garage with hood up, as he had a bunch of older cars like a 510 and Volvo P1800. I have no idea if he still has it or what........
All that to say I remember an RX-3 in montreal! lol
Nice ride by the way - have fun with it!
