A while back I looked at purchasing a franchise gas station. Something like an Esso/Petro Canada. At the time I think you put down approximately 50-75k and you got a annual salary of 50k.

That didn't seem attractive to me because it meant I bought myself a manager role. A role that didn't even pay much either.

Does anyone know an owner and can explain if my summary is correct? I know they have some independent locations that cost much more. I am referring to the ones where you don't buy the land.
