Alberta Rotary Meet 2012
I don't care either, to each their own. I'm more interested in a cruise/track day for this summer.
I don't care who comes the more the merrier and the cheaper it would be for costs for each individual, I have two friends that would love to come out and one drives a g37s and one a ralliart lancer. Be nice to have other cars aswell but majority rotaries of course
Stratotech Holds cars, I should know, I've run my POS DD integra around it. lol
Stratotech entertains a Time attack series put on by http://speedwayperformance.org/ so the meet could be made around on of those dates possibly...?
start a cruise in Red Deer/ Leduc ish, then cruise up to Stratotech...?
just a few ideas...

http://www.stratotech.ca/ or you can google it :p
So just an update but this year deerfoot mall dropped the auto x events so if we wanted to plan around the calgary sports car club events it would have to be in either red deer or fort macleod for now...
Yes. For the third time in the last 6 years, looks like the Calgary Sports Car Club will have no autocross, and now no time attack series events in Calgary - it's Red Deer and Ft. Macleod for autocross, and Stratotech in Ft Saskatchewan for time-attack.
But I'm sure street racing will make a comeback in the city, like in the 80's before Race City was available...
CSCC and the Kart Club were planning to build a somewhat larger Stratotech-like facility out near Irricana, but that got torpedoed when a single "neighbour", who was 3 kms away and that a noise study showed wouldn't be able to hear events due to hills in between, decided to protest the land-use application at the MD. NIMBYism is alive and well...

I look forward to attending should an auto cross event of some kind take place this year. Edmonton area is best for me as I am located north of Edmonton, but am willing to consider Calgary as well.
