alberta rebuilder?
I would like to say to the original thread starter that as far as "rotary specific" shops go there is only the one that I know of and that is Rx-7 specialties in Calgary.
Yes, I am biased towards Adam and his shop but I would encourage you to do your own research, call Adam and see for yourself what you think. ultimately it is your money and thats what matters, you spend it where you feel fit.
my 2 cents
Brydon
P.S- Oh and to the remark of " try to find one of felix wankles' relatives" if you come to my climbing gym in NE Calgary you could meet one! oddly enough I work with one of his great grand sons!

I'll add my own two bits here.
I'm not an "Adam" fan or a "Max" fan or anyone's fan. But I'll give credit where credit is due.
Adam's always treated me well. When my 85 GSL was getting a automatic to standard conversion I was told I could pick it up at 9pm on a Friday night. It wasn't ready at that time but Adam knew I needed the car urgently and so Brydon and him stayed until about 1:30am to get the job done. To me that's commitment to their job, and to me. Thank you to both of you.
I've had other non-engine related work done in Adam's shop and so far I've always been pleased with the results.
Right now I'm getting an "Adam engine" for the first time. I guess we'll see how it goes eh?
I've read all the pro's and con's of Adam here time and time again but it hasn't put me off giving him a shot at my engine.
I'm actually quite confident I'll get a great engine because a few factors. 1) I'm not rushing the guy at all. My engine has been a slow thought out process over two months with everything carefully considered and targeted for maximum performance. 2) Except for the irons which are in great condition and the oil pump, everything else is brand spanking new. 3) I went with the 10.1:1 compression rx-8 rotors so any complaints of not enough compression aren't likely to occur. 4) I've seen all the parts with my own eyes and nothing is rehashed.
I guess we'll see this summer how it all works out wont we?
