Advice on an FB that is for sale

Hey Folks,
I was planning to pick up an FB this spring, but this one came up and is not far from me.
It is a little bit more than I planned to spend, but also seems to be in better condition than anything I thought I'd be able to find.

What do you guys think about this car for the price? I know it's a little bit tough to judge without knowing more info, but lets say it is rust free and runs well. Is it priced where it should be?

Also, are there any problems with the fact that its been in storage for a while?

Thanks for your input.

Update:

-After emailing the seller, I found out he is almost the original owner (bought it in 1986 with only a few thousand Km's on it)
-No rust
-Runs excellent

too shiney..that would give you trouble..lol!
Price sounds ok for your location.
I'd check it out and if you like it shoot him an offer.,The worst thing that the guy can say to you is NO.
I like going with Cash, and reaching for my lighter..heh..Woops!..can't find it all these 100's in the road...Now,what were we talking about??
You know what they say..Money talks!..

(hit him at 3500.see if he wiggles)

I would say that its worth the money, mileage is low and you already have an FI 13b under the hood so having no rust almost makes it perfect.
Make an offer at 2800 and go from there keep money in pocket and do it in person..

Good Luck!!!

I know the car, but its been a few years. Its very nice, and well cared for. $4500 seems fair, but you dont want to offer in too low. Id look at it before I made any offers. Check the usual spots for rust but I believe this car had been garaged its entire life.

That's a pretty sweet FB if a close up doesn't uncover rust issues or mechanical difficulties - I agree with Alak that $4500 would be a fair, or even good deal. Depends on how motivated to sell the owner is whether he'll move much.

Thanks for the advice guys. The car is 3 hours away and unfortunately I am swamped at work and can't go look until next weekend at the earliest. I am hoping it doesn't sell due the season, but I am kind of guessing it will be sold before I can go look at. Fingers crossed!

This is the thing.
If you are truly interested, you let the guy know. Not by email, ask him for his contact number and shoot the breeze over it.
You don't assume that the car will wait for you.It won't.
Really, just posting that Link,I bet other guys are looking at that, thinking,,HMM,Thanks for that Link!....nice car.,maybe...
You gotta take the initiative.
Contact the guy,ask more about it,tell him you can't make it down but will stay in contact with him. That way you get a chance to see it.
Ask him if the car gets sold to please contact you and it saves you a 3 hour trip.If you stay in contact with him,you start to look pretty damn good as a serious buyer and that my friend, can give you some credibility and leverage when it comes down to price.
Otherwise its: shoulda,coulda,woulda.

I put my car up On Kijiji and left my Email.
I answered emails with "if you want more info call ***-***-****."
only ONE guy called..He bought the car.

This.
Don't forget - you're on an enthusiasts board here - maybe you can send someone local for a look (assuming the seller wants to take the trouble to show to someone who isn't the actual potential buyer) - I'd offer, but I'm swamped right now.

Definitely, good point. Honestly I am usually the kind of guy that if I see I car I want, I see it right away and usually buy it. Things just aren't in my favour with what I've got going on right now. If it was in my city, I'd have probably looked at it on the first day.

Thanks guys, I didn't really think about this. If someone is able to go look on my behalf I would definitely appreciate it.
