Oh, that sucks.

Who built the engine? It's standard practice to set the epoxy 1/16" below the surface of the side port to prevent this issue. Sounds like the builder didn't do that.

The epoxy is at or below that level. Either it has broken loose in the port or for some reason its expanding underheat. Mark has built many p.ports that have won races and championships. We are in the process of removing the epoxy to see if we can figure out why that happened.

Hmmm...I wonder if the old side port still had residue on it or was not prepped properly?

JB Weld or Devcon?

Dont know what they used but I know it wasnt JB weld. I watched them prep the housings, we did 2 other sets at the same time, all are running in race cars and have not had any issues. The search continues...............
