Abandoned 1st gen?
Abandoned 1st gen?
I saw this car a few weeks ago, I went back up to check her out on Saturday. I was thinking to find the owner and buy it for parts. But she is pretty rough, there is a factory 3 peice IMSA air dam, tail and some rims. There were also a couple of burgandy leather seats sitting on the ground in front of the car.
Sunroof is open, and it looks like it has been that way for a long time. Car is completely rusted. It's either an 81 or 82. The house where it sits is boarded up.
I was mainly interested in the IMSA air dam, but it has had many holes drilled into it to hold it on to the car. It may be hard to determine who owns it etc. The property is probably owned by a bank, due to a forcloser.
Location Trafalger road north of 15th sideroard on the left side. Photos are not the best as they were taken with my phone.

Happy picking!

Actually my Mother owns an MTO Office, so finding the owner is not hard for me. Due to its condition I'm not going to bother. Yes you could buy a UVIP, it just doesn't give you the owners address.
No it's not pretty inside. Such a shame to see a seven like that.

LOL
That car has been there for years, I talked to the owner a few years ago when he still lived in that house and he told me he was restoring it.
So ya, just go take it before I do!

LOL, its the one you always see on the way to CP racing. its a shame, as the wing and bumper are worth more than most of the 1st gens on this board. Nick1 has one and he gets like 2 pms a week asking if he will sell it.
Yep shame to let things rot. There is a guy here with an SA in his driveway with a blown engine. Very tine bit of rust, nice interior, terribly faded original paint. He won't sell it due to sentimental value. He's had it since new and drove it while he was in University (some good memories then I'm sure). This poor thing has sat for 15 years in his driveway. To give you an idea of how long this has sat, it still has new Pirelli P77's on it (these were the hot tire over 20 years ago!) all weather cracked and flattened.
