86 gx - what specs does it have

looking at a 86 gx


looked at the brochures for the different models

but it says nothing of a gx model


theres base, sport,luxury and gxl...is the gxl the gx model??

The GX model seems to be a Canadian model only and online documentation is pretty sparse for it.

The GX model fits between the base model and the GXL.

GX has the sunroof, power mirrors, center console, rear storage bins and 14inch 4-lug "phone dialer" rims that the base model does not get. Shared with the base model is the single piston front brakes, solid rear discs and open diff among all the other things of course.

My GX was a total blast to drive, lightweight car and very tossable especially after the 6PI system was fixed.

Yes, GX was a Canadian-market only model - the first R&T test of the FC mentioned that.

Its not like many rims fit the 4 bolt pattern. Besides, I prefer to call them Porsche look rims.

also funny how it was designed to compete with the Porsche...er, forget the model (that slow one )

i remember seeing a video comparing the two. they were actually giving the non-turbo RX-7 some praise
