Yes. Lets have a great meet. There should be alot of interest in this. Not much opportunity for a meet this organized happening in ontario! So I thank all of the people who put forth the effort in arranging such an event and opening up their house for lodging. Takes alot of time and dedication.

To much fun. You will see me out there this year. Been too busy the last few years and budget didn't allow me to do multiple events but hey man you only live once and its been a few years of me saying I will go next year. Well it always seems as next year never arrives. LOL

I totally agree to this.....days are gone where there was Ottawa meet, Niagara etc....

These guys are very hospitable and the scenery is great. I may come down again with my family just for a day but this time the RX8 will be on duty instead of the man van.

I would like to appoligize for the rude comments made by one particular "contributor" to this thread. Those comments in no way reflect the tone, attitudes, or opinions of any of the members of the Grey Bruce Rotorheads - the current organizers of this event. People should be able to ask questions without fear of having someone jump down their throat with insults. I trust that this will be the end of this sort of behaviour.

And now... back to our regularly scheduled program...

I apologize for my behavior and it won't happen again.

Back on topic, is space limited? If it's not i wanted to bring both 7's but just wanted to know if lots of rotor heads usually show up or what before i make the decision

Also are we going to have time for a little "parts swap" thing?

Thanks PnoyRx7. But actually, it wasn't your comments that I was referring to. Your reaction was completely understandable considering the situation.

We have lots of space available in my house with beds, couches, cots etc... There have been times that we've had people sleep on the floor. But air mattresses take care of that. You're more than welcome to bring both 7's. The more rotors the merrier. There's plenty of parking too. We've also the space for those who wish to camp in the backyard. Just not too close to the bonfire.

If people want to have a parts swap, that's fine too. I would suggest including a list of what you have and what you're looking for. That way, we can guage interest and go from there.

One thing to note is the hazard of having loose items in a hatchback car. If you wish to bring potentially dangerous items please be sure you can secure them in a safe manner in your car. I recommend P/M-ing Buggy or Bass before bringing items up to see if they can offer you storage for these parts during the driving portions of the meet.

I look forward to seeing both you cars PnoyRx7!! and I'd love to check out any parts you are planning on bringing up... especially if you have any for an old FB...

This event is probably going to cause a smog advisory in south Bruce lol... Hope you have understanding neighbours.

I have a for sale thread going, all parts still available unfortunately but if anyone is interested in anything on that list feel free to PM me and I can bring it along to the meet.

Really Brian? After I got your car running, gave you parts, after you got your car back as a basket case? Lets make a list of all the crap I did for you?

Installed urethane bushings
Installed shocks and springs twice because the front ones were pieces of crap
Installed fuel pump
Installed Engine mounts which I also Machined
Gave you a front mount oil cooler
Gave you an alternator
Gave you the FC fuse block
Broke your engine in for you, after it was rebuild
Sold you tires at a $200 loss when I was unemployed
Found you a parts car

Not to mention all the time, and fuel I spent driving to and from your house, hell even your son called me dad once because I was there so frequently.

I never once asked for anything in return ever.

All you do is use people, you are now using Another member to tune your car.

Yes, really Kevin.
I’m disappointed that you’ve managed both to miss the entire point of the apology for your insulting comments to a BCM participant’s question about something so innocent as to what the weather’s like up here, and your need to attack PnoyRx7 (majority of comments now thankfully removed by moderator) and me on a personal level within such a public forum. You’ve outdone yourself.
I’ve never denied to anyone all of the things that you’ve done for me and the BCM over the years, hell for a lot of people, with a lot of things. That’s quite an inventory list that you’ve been keeping on me. In fact, you’ve done yourself an injustice by leaving your other good deeds left unaccounted for. I guess that they are just too numerous to mention all of them. I’m sorry that I’ve apparently never done anything for you. I must have been a horrible friend. Thank you for sticking by me for so long despite this massive shortcoming I have.
But the fact that you’ve done all of these wonderful things, doesn’t give you the right to insult people who are expressing interest and asking questions about the BCM.

Over the past few years, I’ve been witness to a gradual change in you as your sharp good-natured wit turn to a sarcastic, insulting and vindictive way of responding to people. It was one thing having you make things difficult behind the scenes with regards to organizing and running this event over the past couple of years. It’s quite another with you taking this new approach of using this thread as your forum to attack people.
I’m going to do everyone the favour of not responding to you in kind. Instead, I will gladly exchange thoughts with you in private. I’ll ignore the “dad” comment. That’s your recollection, not mine.

With all of this being said, I really do hope that we can be civil and let this thread continue on without the drama.

See the list grow you say? Your wish is my command. As soon as I get to my laptop later on tonight, I shall compile such a list. And with a little premix, and sunshine, we shall watch this list grow. Ok...one too many beers perhaps, and thumbs that can't text anymore on my phone. Until later...

Oh and uh... Happy May 24 everyone!

ON Out of Towner

If the weather's nice I'll put on my travelin shoes and hit the road - it's 8 or 9 hours from my place, but it sounds like a great weekend. My '82 RX-7 has a lot of miles on it, but it runs great and I'm never afraid to take it on long tours. Hope to see you all there!
