Hello,

So I have been talking with the RX8s and we believe we would like to have 2 or 3 meets at the Boston Pizza at 400/Highway 7 (AKA The Interchange) this year. We would like to plan and publish the dates in advance so everyone has lots of notice, and having 2 or 3 events allows everyone to attend at least one of them.

We are thinking May, July and Sept, so that if there is a MOM event in August, we would not conflict.

In order to pick the dates, its important to not conflict with race weekends and time attack events. So this thread exists for those of you in the know about CASC, CSCS, and Sigma schedules can advise when their dates are. It also allows for feedback on if 2 meets is good, or should we plan for 3.

What day were you planing this for? Saturday? Sunday? afternoon? night?

Unrelated but more people need to go to MOM this year!!

What day would we be thinking ie Saturday or Sunday I'm assuming?

 

I used to go to Niagara Falls for an Orange Crush,.so..I'll go to the GTA for a Boston Pizza..lol!

yes, we definitely need more meets this year. The more the merrier.
Weekends is a given. EVeryone has to work during the weekdays.

 

I'm down, pref Sunday's as I work on Sat.
I want one early May before I move ahaha, I got a possible FB in the works that I wanna take

 

Sundays, usually noon until 3pm.

 

You could also do Victoria day Monday May 18th if not I would suggest the Sunday before.

 

Do you have any info that there will be a MOM this year? in 2013, we had a great RX7 turnout for MOM, but in 2014, they didn't announce it until very late.

 

A lot of people have family plans on stat holiday long weekends. Probably best to avoid those.

 

I agree – more meets is better than fewer. Also, agree re: avoiding long weekends because so many people are out of town. Thanks for getting this started.

Sundays work best for me. I plan my life around meet schedules and track days

 

I'm in as well.....the more the merrier as we all know that all the meets have the same attendees, there are a lot of members I have not met yet.

 

Sunday late afternoon's would be best. Let's bring back that old school car meet feeling. Not this Friday/Saturday night crap.

I'll likely make the trek down for at least one meet again. Likely leave the TII at home this time and bring the Rx-4.

I missed this, if there is interest in a big RX meet in ontario. We can try and doing it at shannonville. ( try and get Toronto + Ottawa , and any MTL guys interested ) .

Those interested in track can try it out, There is a saturday opening.

If there is somebody interested in organizing this , would be great.

Ok, does anyone know the dates for the various Time Attack series? Have they been released?

 

Any updates for spring meet? Nothing organized on the rx8 side yet. I could start a thread but will need dates.
