2010 Sigma Racing Time Attack Series! 4 Events at Mosport DDT!

Hello Car Enthusiasts,

Sigma Racing Time Attack Series (SRTA Series) (www.sigmatimeattack.com) was formed by a group of racing enthusiasts who wanted more from the usual lapping days without the immense cost and commitment of pursuing racing in existing racing sanction bodies. SRTA welcomes all drivers from licensed professionals to beginners to come to our events and tune their cars, improve their driving, compete in our time attack and have fun in a safe environment.

Events feature:

- Your own personal lap-timer for the first 6 hours of test and tune from 9:00am to 3:00pm to tune and test your vehicles’ set-up.
- Running leader board throughout the day to objectively measure your performance against other participants.
- Official Time Attack at the end of the day from 3:00pm to 5:00pm where participants can put their skills to the test and place on our leaderboard.
- Maximum of 45 cars to ensure driving without traffic and line ups.
- Prizes for the fastest racers, and other perks and bonuses for all participants at the event.
- 50% Refund Rain Day Guarantee Program for all prepaid participants. (see our site for details)
- Pre-registered price of only $165 CAD (tax included) for an entire day of competitive racing and fun!

SRTA has 4 events for the year 2010:

Sunday, May 30
Sunday, June 27
Sunday July 25
Sunday, August 22

For more information, please check out: www.sigmatimeattack.com
If you have any questions regarding the SRTA series events, we will be more than happy to answer them within the thread.

Thank you very much for your time everyone!

Haha! Thanks buddy! We hope you like the coilovers! I'm always hoping to see more FCs and FDs on the track. It gets a little lonely sometimes you know....

Hello All!

This is just a friendly reminder that our pre-registering for the May 30th event will close on May 22, which is 8 days prior to the event!

In case you haven't read through our site, I want to let you know that SRTA has designed many perks that only the pre-registrants can enjoy:

1. All pre-registrations will cost only $165 (taxes included), whereas walk-ins will cost $200.

2. To protect our pre-registrants, we have a rain-day-guarantee program, where if it rains for more than 3 hours that day, we will refund all pre-registrants 50% admission!

3. When we have 45 pre-registrants, we will simply close our door and will not accept any additional pre-registers or walk-ins. We will strictly enforce our cap of 45 racers in any event to ensure our racers won't experience line-ups or traffic.

4. Although all pre-registered and walk-in racers can participate in our Official Time Attack, only pre-registrants can win a cash prize of $165 for holding the fastest lap times in each class.

If you want to come out, make sure you pre-register with us!

Thank you very much for your time!

SRTA

If it rains I'll come on street tires but otherwise I'll be too tired to run on slicks from Franks day on the 28th

I hope so Ian! Even if I'm no longer a part of the club next year (I may relocate), I believe the club will continue to grow and prosper.

Hello Everyone!

Thank you very much to everyone who have already pre-registered with us. We really appreciate you guys believing in us, and we'll make sure that we take very good care of you on Sunday.

We only have 16 spots remaining now. This is a reminder that you may still pre-register with us online for $200, which will allow you to enjoy the following perks:

1. Guarantee you a spot for Sunday. We will unfortunately have to turn down all walk-in participants once we've reached our cap of 45.
2. Rain day guarantee. We will refund 50% of your admission if it rains for more than 3 hours on Sunday.
3. Cash price for Official Time Attack. We will give you a cash prize of 100% refund of your admission for holding the fastest lap time in either Group A or B!

The perks above will not be offered to walk-in participants (walk-in participants may participate in both Test & Tune and the Official Time Attack, they just can't win the cash prize).

All pre-registration will be closed by the end of today! So if you were planning on coming, please don't forget to register with us tonight!

Thank you very, very much everyone!

Thanks howi and the SRTA team, that was by far the most enjoyable track day ever. Its awesome that everyone on the track gets their own lap timer and you can tell immediately after each lap whether you were faster or slower than your fastest lap that session.

The real-time leaderboard was really neat too, especially if you know a lot of the people on the board, its fun to compare and "race" lol

Too bad my car kept overheating, I think the rad fan blowing super hot air into my unshielded cone intakes is causing it, my intake air temps peaked at 87° (thank god I'm spraying 50/50 meth)/h2o). Gonna build a heat shield asap and find some way to direct cool air into my intakes.

oh, and sorry about the oil mess I'll fix that oil leak someday i swear

day started at 1:21, got it down to 1:17 by stiffening up my suspension, eventually down to 1:16 running 38psi tire pressure and 17 clicks on the suspension. Can't wait to tune it even more! (need better tires though)

update the leaderboard on your website!!

Thank you MIBagentQ! It was so much fun having 2 FDs and 2 FCs out there. We're currently working on uploading photos; as you know, it's a very time consuming process....

It was great watching everyone take full advantage of our lap timers. Earlier in the day, everyone was chopping chunks of time off every time. Near the end of the day, everyone started to plateau and have truly maxed out the capability of their set up that day!

Unfortunately since it was our first time doing this, we ran into a bit of technical difficulty with our timers on a couple of cars. We've diagnosed the problem already and will for sure have it fixed next time.

Thank you very much everyone!

Oh, and the leaderboard is up!

yup! He goes by the name of oreganorx7. He's an excellent driver with a pretty stock S5 NA on street tires!

I should also mention that both oreganorx7 and MIBagentQ challenged Group A, although both FDs and FCs belong in Group B. Excellent spirit from the RX-7 crew!
