BlackBerry is giving away $25 in free apps. Open BlackBerry App World swipe down tap redeem and type in fallapps.
Not sure if this is only on BB10 though.

No free apps for legacy BB owners.
Not sure what I'd want anyway as the legacy BBOS has 99% of the functionality I need built in. Only 3rd party apps I use on a regular basis are Weather Network and Google Maps.
Edit...Oh, and Flashlight.
