Ty's FC restoration/build

I've been living behind the search button of this site for years (since middle school) I finally picked up a 91 N/A with 161k on the odometer the interior was terribly mutilated by the previous owner which I would like to refer to as "The Genius" ... it needs shocks/ the brakes are spongy/ the shifter bushings are gone/ the seat belts don't work/ the sunroof is crooked and cocked up on one side/ and the drive-shaft needs to have the front u-joint replaced.... but the engine runs almost flawless it doesn't smoke AT ALL it idles solid at 700rpm and keeps its cool with a good charge sorta creepy for $1000 I drove it 35 miles back to my house without any problems and now ill be trying to bring the car back to life

Wow that paint looks like it worked really well. Might have to do the same to a few of my pieces.

:Today I'll go behind the gauge cluster shroud and see how hacked the headlight wiring is.

Great buy and great progress on your project so far. The interior might need work but it looks like the engine is untouched.

As for the suspension, another "upgrade" you can do to the S5 RX-7 is swap in the S4 sway bar endlinks. The S4 are metal, while the S5 are plastic.

with the engine warm i squeezed a whole bottle of the purple power degreaser stuff everywhere let it sit for a few minutes and pressure wash the entire engine bay ...the plastic don't like the degreaser so much
