Besides having better throttle response and less bs to deal with on a standard TB single is way better. It all depends on what kind on Mods you plan to do on your build. Here is a great 80mm TB option for a S5 manifold

It will actually kill throttle response and cause hesitation when flooring it suddenly..
The sudden increase of airflow causes this, that's why the secondary throttle plates open with a delay.. they are there for a reason

You would be better off using the FD UIM and TB, since the runners are equal length and the TB is slightly bigger.

FC standard TB is not an issue up to atleast 600hp

Ummm... well that would make since if you are using a factory ECU with no way to adjust what your map does, when the TB opens. I would have to agree that just throwing on an 80mm TB not good for stock, but depending on your build and tune on a stand alone, you will have far better top end and throttle response with a single TB then the factory. And I don't think the question was as to how much power you can make off a stock TB, besides if your making 600hp off of a stock TB the rest of the componets and ECU is probably not stock

thanks for input, my car does have microtech on, and yes it will be re-dyno after fitting a single blade throttle body. thing is,in south africa rotary parts and spares are expensive. you blow the motor its cheaper to buy an complete import engine,. thanks again.will see if i can post some pics off my car.
