hey guys i need help with my build. here is the specs 90 gxl s5 t2 engine, n370 rteck 2.0, 550/720 injectors fd pump.
here is the issue the car will not fire up until i spray carb cleaner on the intake. then it fires up, runs and drives fine but if i shut it off it will not fire up again until i spray the intake with starting fluid again.
i get 40 ish at the pump. what is the correct fuel pressure?. My rx7 manual says for turbo the pump hold pressure is 57 is this correct ? i tried fd pump and t2 pump both get 40 psi. could both pumps be bad. im getting about 11.8 volts at the pump side connectors while priming. same voltage as the battery.could it be low voltage to the pump should i rewire with a relay? when i switch the ignition off after priming the pressure increases to like 50 ish for like a second or two then it shut off. im really lost on this issue. i really appreciate any help or advise in advance thanks you guys.

Is the pump getting voltage during cranking? Depending on how you wired your pump relay, the signal or source voltage may drop out while cranking.

Other items are the starting fuel map.
Make sure the TPS signal isn't reading 100% open, or else the ecu cuts fuel during cranking.

I will move it to the tech section thanks. I have the pump wire stock just how it come from factory haven't done the mod for fuel pump rewire yet. The tps was set at 100 wide open but I adjust it down to like from 4 to 11 or so what should set the tps open to? And yes I'm getting voltage while cranking at the pump and 45 psi The fuel filter. My afr while cranking show 14.7 kind of lean. Thanks
