One thing I never realized when I did the swap was how easy it would have been to get the block drilled and tapped for the FC motor mount and use the oil pan and front cover from a TII. Would have made it seem like it was meant for the car

Not possible!

Fine for the turbo side mount with drilling and taping the motor but.
Spark side only has two bolts where the fc mount would sit and one is the coolant drop bolt. And there's no surface for the mount to sit on!

Is not possible!

I did the swap and it was way easier to just weld a steel bar from one side of the frame to the other and buy bolts with the thread pattern that would fit in the stock fd mounts and boom you got a solid engine mount. Wayyy easier than tryin to mess with the stock fc mounts. plus leaves options to stay twin turbo or go Huge single like a HX55

Motivefab.com makes mounts to solve the mounting issue. My friend runs em, he said the swap was pretty straight forward, just obvious wiring and plumbing, and he had to make another trans bracket

Seems to work fine, has done numerous hours solid mounted to an engine dyno and there are no signs of fatigue on the mount or motor

For those using the OEM FD water pump/pulleys, I found the following radiator hoses that are almost a perfect fit with the FC radiator:

Dayco 71863 (upper) <--- Only if you are using a defined autoworks thermostat housing

Dayco 71526 (lower) - Had to trim about 1/2 from the hose

OP, where in Hawaii do you live? I used to live there and might be able to find someone with a 13BT if you're still interested. No promises, though.

Or, if you're on Oahu, and have a friend in the military, ask them to bring you on base to the Schofield Junk Yard. I used to get a bunch of 1 gen stuff there, and there was always a 2 gen or 2 there (either for parts or auction as a whole running car starting at $500). If they have a 13BT there, you coyuld either purchase it or ask them to trade the engine (done that a few times). Good Luck.

Jose
