looking good. i dont know why you would spend so much time and money on the interior and have a ***** shifter and crown royal shift boot. get a sweet mazdaspeed or re-amemiya or feed or cusco or ect. ect. **** and a redline boot. those two things ruin all of your other hard work. and some other seats.

hahahaha, its cool, the shifter and boot arent everyones taste. i did it because i like it, i might change it at some point, but not now
and i got the carpet a few years back from an OG rx7 guy, just never got around to putting it in my car....
and yes, i know i need new seats, but that will wait until the car has been painted, need bucket seats for when i run a cage

well, been fighting an oil leak from the AN fitting on the oil cooler thanks to the mazdatrix kit using a special fitting that no one carries. so, i had to change up the fittings, and the oil leak appears to be gone.
thanks mazdatrix, for making my life ******* difficult......and the fact that you take a ******* week to get a part to someone in norcal is ******* pathetic......

decided to get the rest of the interior done, since it was driving me crazy. at this point, all i need is gauges (will happen when i do the RE) and floor mats (soon to happen)

im pretty happy with the car at this point. next up is paint, and thats why i picked up these:

ill be mocking up the bumper and side skirts with the fasteners so theyre on the car when it gets painted, just need the kit fitted correctly.
need money so bad though...

so, yesterday my buddies helped me swap in another t2 trans, since the one i had was leaking and it felt like the gears were just failing.
also swapped in some unknown brand delrin motor mounts i had laying around, feels super responsive now on the throttle, but goddamn you talk about a lot of vibration into the passenger compartment haha

next up is swapping out the rear diff since its chattering and not really locking up anymore, and also installing a pinion snubber as well.

the plan is to have the rear diff and trans rebuilt by a local very reputable trans shop. either osg or carbonetics 2way lsd, should pair quite nicely with the RE.

also, just got a job offer for another smog shop, a 50% pay bump from what im doing now, but not sure if i want to take the job, since i like what i do and i love my managers and my boss....

This is an awesome build.....

not sure if someone had asked this to you, but is there a difference IYO from the drop bushings or whatever compared to the mazdaspeed from mazdatrix? Besides the price of course. If you compared the two which is "better"

thanks

idk, i just got a good deal on these bushings. they really beefed up the feel of the handling and made it undeniably stiff and gokart like, but you can feel every pebble on the road, specially with these wheels/tires setup

another quick update.
bought a rebuilt power steering pump, since mine is on its way out. decided to go ahead and replace the inner tie rods, and get the bump steer adjustable outer tie rods as well.
picked up some floormats and vert trunk mat from JasonS, ill post up pics as soon as i get them in the car
not going to have it ready for sevenstock this year, so im shooting for next year. but i will be showing vivian at all the local meets and big shows around here

alrighty, my floor mats came in courtesy of JasonS, if you want great quality mats, hes the guy.
now my interior restoration is complete!

very very happy with the outcome. i am going to end up getting black FIA approved bucket seats, but i need to do paint first. also thinking about changing up the boot/**** combo, something more subtle, not sure though
