nope. was stored 20 years with coolant in it. I am lucky the thing runs honestly. Well, I can not say 20 years solid. The PO had the engine out at one point. Not sure when, But I do know prior to that it sat for a LONG time. I Had the car out after everything today and it goes like stink on **** again. It started to gallop slightly, but went away... I am going to pressure test the system and see where the EFF air is getting in. Nothing leaks, Oil is always clear, Nothing EVER appears a miss. I am going to guess a clamp or something simple that builds up over time.
And your garage ceiling seems really low for some reason...

Just over the bench it appears low due to a soffet covering up some HVAC, then there is a steel beam not far off from it, but the rest of the garage is well over 8ft ceiling. It will be nice once I start installing the 4ft HO overhead lights. Going to be plenty bright.

Having played the "Ooo, it's WINTER!" card a few months ago and joined meercat in hibernation, arch really can't show any new work without exposing the whole "it's too cold" excuse for the bullshit it is.
We all know that Minnesota covers the entire state with a giant igloo every year and it's sub-tropical beneath. They aren't fat and pasty because of winter body fat and constant snow, it's florescent lighting and fried dough.
He's been slaving away for months and then this spring he pops back with this update:
"Well boys, winter is finally gone and I dragged her out for the first time since Sept...thought I'd do a little basic maintenance.
So I rebushed/powdercoated the suspension, installed coilovers, ported the engine, painted the body and set two records at the Salt Flats.
And it's only Saturday afternoon!"
He looks like a build thread god.
I know how these things work.

Garage is heated, I have zero excuse other then I have been in a funk and lazy this winter. Started a new job as well and been saving for a new daily driver. I have been scoring some deals on parts though throughout the winter. I can post a vid sometime this weekend.
The skinny of it is:
- Car has not been started since early december
- Bought the top half of my s5 Tii keg (still not sure what I am putting it in)
- Picked up a spare set of s4 control arms with new ball joints and ES poly bushings installed (not sure I am keeping the ES however.. been talking with eage8)\
- Saki bomb HID conversion finally came (not installing till a before after in car vid)
- still deciding what wheels I want and with our next season on the horizon (Road construction/pothole) it makes it tough to justify imported sets or anything really nice
Also decided that this car is staying 100% original interior exterior and drive train. The suspension.... well, I like corners. unless the engine blows this summer, the TII engine will end up in another shell.
The only exterior mod I would him haw about would be a nice shape duck bill. I am however slowly gaining motivation to get back out into the garage and tinker again.
I want to take off all the little bits and brackets in the engine bay and sand/blast/paint to bring the patina back up to the cars mileage. I also need to bring my front coil-over lower mounts to the machine shop next to my work to have some notching put in. Not getting my desired camber up front on these silly top perches. I need to rotate them a few bolt holes over and see if that can get me what I want first though.
So, yea. There has been a serious lack of snowfall this year and the ground can be seen in many places.

Alright, so my fans have been patient and I made a little update video of what I have been up to so far this winter. Did not upload right from my phone and seems to not be displaying 1080p as it should... but here we go:
Still looking for wheels

Update time I suppose. I picked up wheels finally against better judgement and do not regret it.
I also did some work to everything else in my life but the 7. Check it out if my boring life interests you:
yep n stuff.

You haven't jacked up the car and done even a test fit of the wheel(s) yet?
That right there is some Buddha-level self restraint.
I'll admit that upon second viewing of the glorious red interior, my initial comparison of it's singing with Yoko Ono's may have been harsh.
Really not getting the NY/East Coast ur-hipster vibe so much as Vegas Elvis impersonator, now I've seen it again.
The question now is Fat Elvis or Skinny Elvis?

1) use the white tape then go over it with the "filler" or
2) use the mesh tape and do the same.
I like the mesh tape as it sticks and worked fine for me.
Some people try to just put the Sheetrock as close together as possible then fill the cracks, but that will cause cracking (where the cracks are) in the future.
