Update: We dropped the motor in last week but havent touched it since. We've been busy getting ready for our first drift event this weekend. XDC Rd1 at Irwindale here in So Cal...its literally a starter and plug wires away from firing and I'm antsy as hell but gotta help the team first. We'll resume as planned next week.
New purchases:
- Mazdatrix short shifter

Well XDC came and went and we had a blast!
Planning on firing it up tonight and working out some kinks....
Question: Is tuning a NA with a SAFC really worth it?

Update:
I decided to remove all the emissions and rats nest since this car will be seeing track time. My old motor had already had block off plates so we swapped manifolds and found that a lot of the vacuum lines were brittle and never replaced, oil metering lines all broke, and injectors looked like the were bad. Glad I found this now so I can swap it for better stuff.
Wiring should be done soon and car should be on this week.
Latest purchases:
- Alum radiator
Debating: On whether or not leave the factory Burgundy interior or swap it for black. I kinda like the Burgundy but black is always cleaner and much more classy...dunno yet

Its alive!!!!!!!!
Finally go to messing with the FC again an after running into minor electrical issues and no fuel
we got it running...its running lean for some reason, i suspect vacuum leak. it ildes choppy at 2200 and wont adjust. Time to fine tune it.
It revs really fast an its way too loud from previous owner ricer straight pipe setup.
Time to get it dialed in and CLEANED!!!!!!!

Love your FC2000, and that buzzer will haunt me forever since I blew a coolant hose 6hours from home and that sound coupled with smoke from my hood terrifies me lol.

yeah that buzzer is a haunting sound. Too bad you caught it too late.
I'm seriously gonna add cooling features to the car for track purposes.
Next up on the "to do" list is:
Kill switch lol
interior clean up and maybe switch it up to black

After finally selling my TII....I decided to give my old FC more loving. I have set a deadline of Oct 29th (Seven Stock) to make it pretty. It'll stay NA but I want it to look like its out to rape and pillage
I dont wanna put out all my secrets but I will say that its getting fully kitted and painted.
I picked up some coilovers, kit, very aggressive wheels and a few other goodies.
I need opinions:
1. Should I keep the rare(ish) wine interior or go black?
2. Roll fenders or go with shine over fenders? wheels are 18x10.5 +12 and 18x9.5 +15 on 255/40 and 225/40...sticks out about 1 on all sides past stock fenders
I will post pics very soon.

the reds not really rare of an interior color, what i have noticed is that it takes a beating from the sun and is hard to match up with replacement pieces.
Since we have no idea what wheels you are running or what your kit is its hard to tell you to roll or do overs.
you have good taste so in the end do what will look the best with what you have.

I'm trying not to give it all away just yet but at the same time I wanna get ideas based on people's taste. Right now I'm playing with the idea of just flaring the stock fenders. I'll post pics of the car today for reference.
As far as interior goes, black does look great, but it does get hot as **** during the summer. I re-did my whole interior from gray to black and its damn near unbearable to drive during the summer months. You'll have to invest in some window tint or something to keep heat out.
I personally love the burgundy interiors and if it was my car I would just restore that. It would be cheaper and easier to do instead of replacing/painting the entire interior.
Here's a couple pics of my interior nearing completion:

oh wow! I'm loving the plaid patterns...very nice!
I thought about it and figured I'd leave the burgundy since its more rare now in the silver winning model.
Its gonna be hard to find the rear carpets and misc pcs. i need
Update: Car is at the shop getting prepped for paint. Just got my rear over fenders and waiting on front. Will post pics tomorrow

Got myself a few goodies over the weekend....
30mm rear over fenders like these

and.... some EBC stopping power. Dimpled/ slotted rotors (waiting on custom rears) with yellow stuff pads

Car is getting stripped of old paint today and tomorrow...hoping to test fit kit and over fenders this weekend for final paint shooting early next week.

Thanks Memin! Still so much to do.....
Update: Made a little trip to Shine Auto on Saturday to pick up more goodies.
Got myself some 30mm non vented front fenders and a nice little roof spoiler. I dropped everything off at the paint shop and saw that my FC is stripped of paint and getting the dents and digs removed. Kit gets prepped today and hopefully sprayed by Wednesday so i can start putting it together.
Pics soon....
