Project-7...the '87 that could

Sold a few parts, some motors, and now I really haven't really given this build any of my time. Haha
Keep in touch for sure, but I may be leaving in September to law school in another state.

Thanks. I've actually put this build on hold for some time now since I am preparing to enter into law school.

Sorry, get excited when I know someone on the forum. I'm Austin by the way, interested in the S4 swap for my FB. Still waiting on that GSL-SE subframe guy to get back to me because I'd feel safer with that swap than drilling the 13b mounting points out too far.
I'm also looking into being in FL for school in a year from now, Jan 2014 - where the 7 can drive all year 'round
Anyways, good luck with the builds and whatever you decide to do with them - would be awesome to cruise with you this summer

Well considering I have not even had time to work on the body and finish welding up the seems and whatnot and bay...it's rolling ahah
I need to get fuel lines and brake lines and oh yeah a motor and tranny swap.
Right now I put the interior from the s5 in it just to see what it looks like. Seems almost like a car again ahha, however, it's still a long way from being driveable lol.
Law school prep is really intense and stressful. No time for cars right now lol

That's one thing I like about my project - the only thing that's happening is a TII engine and trans swap instead of doing absolutely everything else included in interior and body work.
I can't imagine law school prep, and I'm an engineering student! Good luck and keep up with the studies because I know it sucks when you fall behind.

Well...been a while since I've been on here, but I got a few updates. First...finally got the s5 shell out of my shop. I have to remove a few more parts but I'm planning on selling the shell this Friday.
And....
If this guy pics up my rear subframe crap I worked so hard to build I may have to think about what to do next.
My 87 is still sitting in the back of my garage until we have a weeks worth of sunny days here! Lol
Plans are to finish sanding welding priming painting it....maybe not in that order but you get the picture.

Well...in between law school and kids, I've been slowly putting stuff back in my 87 engine bay. I picked up another s5 with flawless interior. Also came with a rear hatch cover. Pretty hard to find now a day. Going to start cleaning stuff and and prepare to weld up my 87 body.

Little update. Started taking apart my fd motor and started making templates for removing the emissions.
Not sure how much I can sell the twins for.....anybody have a clue?
I plan on running a single turbo setup.
Thanks for looking and being patient aha

Little random update. Shop floor became really cluttered this week with my interior Ahha.
But I made some fd emission block off plates and some transmission mounts for the t2 trans.
Picking up a clutch kit this weekend. I should hopefully be able test fit the fd motor in the bay so I can fabricate a lower cross member for it.
Also, I'm parting out one of my gxl if anybody is interested in parts? I've got a bunch of stuff Latin around that is like to get rid of.
Thanks for looking

Sup nick, I was the dude that stopped out in the red/black s4 to look at your car. Good to see you are still working on it.
When I get a little caught up, I will hit you up for some parts and see what you have laying around.
