Can't really explain the amount of progress and events that have happened in the last few weeks... lets start with some pictures

Was up till 3:30 in the morning and got the intrusion bars done in my delusion.


First time the FC has been outside in months




Welded in plates into the floor to mount my 5-points to, better than to the seat bracket i'd say

Made the top radiator support, had it tacked at this point but I decided it would be better to bolt it in


Worked on the passenger floor, as I have said before the passenger seat sits 10x higher than the drivers side so big hammer punched out the floor and lowered it about an inch.


And my girlfriend and her best friend got rear ended... so lets just add to the stress level shall we?

Picked out the paint color!

Funny thing, and I didn't know this at the time but, the paint code is for R32 GTR's haha

Made a custom blue that is similar to what I had but has a much deeper color which is what I wanted

So one thing that is interesting and makes my FC just as unique, the duckbill and the bn (rep) rear bumper are a combo that I have never seen. Looking all over the interwebs the people that run duckbills never have like 'drift' bumpers, they always use the stock or diffuser.

Pulled apart with alot of sanding, three of us were sanding on this thing for like a solid day

Can't have overspray on the jewels

Dropped struts all around so masking would be much easier and more professional

No more gas tank or 3rd brake light!

Girly drillin holes for the rivnuts

Rivnuts are cool...

And let the sanding begin, duraflex stuff sucks so much, the primer on it is so hard and crappy that it takes forever to sand and clogs everything

Little extra primer got sprayed around

Progress is lookin' good on your build! That color is almost exactly what I want to paint my track car...
I know it's a little too late but I can't help but wonder why you decided to run your rear cage bars back to the trunk like that? Not sure they are really doing much of anything. Usually you want to connect them to the rear shock towers so they actually stiffen the chassis. Can't wait to see how it turns out when you get it put back together!

You can tell the difference in blue that I chose, it's really what I've been looking for for years

Does not look like my car anymore, this thing is beyond what I could have hoped for

Another reason to never buy duraflex.... the primer actually started lifting the black crappy primer that duraflex comes with, so we decided to seal everything with a water based sealer that is actually used for hydro dipping

All the panels are completely done and ready for assembly, now the scary part!
They are outside to just help them clear for a little bit, all the panels were in the oven for a little bit too

Deciding on mazda steps

The most important part on a rotary powered vehicle

LRB door cards, love these they work great and are super simple to install especially since they come with all the hardware

You use the old door card seal and it swaps over super easy




Radium has amazing quality fuel parts, seriously was very impressed, After going through a number of fuel pumps and setups I ordered a AEM 380LPH pump. This high flow fuel filter has a heat exchange that looks super cool and fits perfectly. Anything helps right?

Chris Layer drifting stuff... kidding, Chairslayer has one of the most legit drifting setups for someone not in pro FD, I mean he should only everyone sponsors him... anyway he found rodknock and that ended it.

See how close they are? After alot of thought I think I am going to go with a banjo bolt on that fitting, it might be close but i'm hoping I can get by with something like that.

Okay so long long story on this one. I got accepted to top 100!!! After months and months of constant nonstop work I made my goal, Top 100 at Stancewars Seattle. Doesn't matter that it's a show car event and I have a drift car, that just makes it that much cooler! So amazed me and my friends pushed so hard to accomplish this goal. So this begins my adventure to the show in seattle. (At the show will be my next post)

So, right before the show like a week before we had to make the 6 hour drive to Seattle, my main ignition coil completely died. Like 100% dead, funny thing is that my secondary coil was running my car like a champ to the point where I had to clue my primary coil was so dead. The only reason I found out my coil was dead was checking timing and getting no timing light on either of the primary spark plugs. So after gathering what pennies I had left from this car, I expedited a set of race coils from diyauto. I wanted these to begin with but decided to wait till next season because of money. Unfortunately I had no choice at this point. So ordered up and the second they arrived in the mail we mounted them up, wired them up and tuned them on my MS3Pro. Work amazingly! So after that disaster was avoided we ran into more. A oil fitting that goes to the cooler from the front of the block started majorly leaking, so the day we are suppose to leave I am running all over town trying to find the correct copper gasket to seal the fitting with absolutely no luck, eventually settled for a o-ring that is somehow still holding up today.


Next thing, after the drive to Seattle my sideskirt got chewed up somehow in the trailer, seriously looked like a dog chewed the crap out of it. Since we have to take the whole body kit apart to get it in the trailer the sideskirt could have been rubbing against the car or something idk, anyway it looked a little sad but in the end wasn't the worst of my trip and simply was a little hiccup.


Was extremely stressed on time so not many pictures were taken, all of the footage was shot for my Destination Sideways Youtube page and as of now I haven't even had time to check that out haha

So I will leave the adventures of driving to the show for the next post, there's alot of reading in this one and there will be in the next one cause let me tell you, it wasn't fun... Seattle sucks
