My newly aquired 1987 T2...

Well I have been working on my 86 GXL getting a few things ready on it in hopes to have it ready to go later this summer and while looking online for parts, I came across this beaut...

A 1987 T2 with 172,000 kms (about 100,000 miles) 17" AVS wheels, HKS coilovers, Racing Beat exhaust, rebuilt street ported engine with 3mm apex seals and only 25,000 kms on it, S5 hybrid turbo, 720ccx4 injectors, Greddy FMIC, AEM Tru Boost Controller, AEM wideband, Stage 2 Clutch (not sure what brand) and a Microtech LT10S.

All for the sweet price of $3500. There are a couple of small electrical gremlins it needs fixed and the front driver side shock is on its way out... there was no way that I was going to pass this up. It needs a tune, as I have a feeling that nothing was really tuned after the injectors were put in, it does run a bit rich for my liking.

Don't normally "buy" my cars but this was too sweet of a deal. I do plan on changing things up on her. Plan on some Stance coilovers this month and get new tires on the matching front wheels to get that done (will be ordering some Work XD9s this winter, they have that blue color that matches my interior). BNR Stage 4 turbo as well as an Apexi N1 dual to replace the RB cat back. Possibly looking at a Shine Auto lip kit as well, not sure, I like the stock body and don't want to take away from it. Also looking to go with new gauges, still up in the air, and replace the boost controller. Upgrade the secondaries to 850cc with the turbo upgrade. New clutch will be needed as well and may swap out the seats for a set of Bride seats. Will probably think of other things along the way but that's about it so far. Will be detailing the interior this weekend and will try and get some more pics up.

Lol. Has a pretty similar set up to my car, except I got mine stock. Bought the car for $2800. Currently have about 12 grand put into it. That's a mint deal though. Good ****

A little update. Been an extremely busy summer at work so I haven't been able to work on the car.

This past weekend I took it back to Kelowna and did some work. Installed a new set of Megan coilovers as the old ones were on their way out; driver front was blown and the rear passenger I found out was bent upon installation. Fixed a vacuum leak so now she idles better and seems to have a bit more jam. Put the my front Yokohamas on. Not a huge fan of them. But they will have to do until I get the wheels I want with a better offset.

Things that will be on the list for this winter as I probably won't get a chance to work on it until then.
-Apexi N1 Evo
-Greddy Profec
-New gauges (boost, A/F, EGT)
-Re-do Microtech engine harness
-Solid diff mounts
-Poly bushing kit
-Clean up engine bay
-Replace water pump
-IC pipe couplings and clamps

Next season will be larger upgrades. Turbo, 1000cc secondaries, and HKS manifold.

Here's a couple of shots with how the car looks now. Need to take some better ones.

Looking at going with a GT3271 or equivalent. Don't want anything too massive.

Well it's been a busy year. Haven't had much time to work on the car or even drive it and now it's winter...

I have been acquiring and ordering parts recently though. Found out after some digging the ECU a was a hack job. May explain part of why my battery is draining. Also, the turbo is a factory S5, not a hybrid. I checked out everything else that it was said to have that I didn't have receipts for and it all checks out. So far I have acquired a Knight Sports turbo, new IC couplings and placed an order for some Varrstoen ES2 wheels. Will be replacing the Microtech with a Haltech, just deciding on which one I want and will be re-doing the engine harness.

Next year will be paint and Cusco coilovers.

KCCO FCJG15 !

Been a while. Work takes up too much of my time. Anyways, squirreling more parts away and it's time to get some **** installed. New wheels and tires, ECU, turbo, and exhaust.

Wondering if anyone could lend a hand identifying this turbo; its a hybrid and the compressor side is much larger than my KS RF320....:

Time for the tear down. Replacing my LT10S with my new Link G4+. HKS Hi-Power and wheels will get put on next. From there dyno tuning. Need to clean up the engine bay first though and get rid of some scabby ****.
