Well did it again...
Gave the car back to Dave at speed1 for a 4in Dp, wire my meth kit and retune the car.. Three months, 80 dyno pulls, 20lbs, and 389whp later, was finally able to pick up the car. Was told I had a few minor issues nothing to big I couldn't take care of myself. Excited to have my car back again, pull out of speed1s drive way hit first gear cracked my rear plate oil every where again..
Why?
Anyway Looking for a S5 rear plate with large dowel landing..
Thanks
James

Usually people put the meth pump lower than the reservoir. It's possibly it was pumping air instead of meth?

Dude, that SUCKS!!

I love Speed1, however, every now and then, every pro gets a problem child. Your car might be Speed1's problem child... Might want to have somebody else work on your car.

Again, sorry to hear about your engine troubles

So maybe the third times a charm? Motors back together...Bought a bunch new stuff, motor made 392 at 18lbs, had him turn the boost up a little higher to break 400. Hope to get the car back wendsday, need new rims and tires to get it to hook, hopefully it won't stop me from bouncing off the 2 step and laying down some rubber.

Dave said tuning went well, after he worked all the little bugs out. It made 411 at 23lbs he turned it down to 21, so I should be right at 400. He said traction is a big issue, so off with the 18in rubber bands I just picked up a set of 17in cobra rims gonna put some sticky 275s on the back hopefully they help, not just break things. Hope to pick the car up as soon as I get a day off of work

I've been driving the car around at 15lbs and it's really fast. I haven't turned the boost up yet, gotta get used to the car again first. Got the cobra r rims gonna get some nitto nto1s in 275 to keep the *** on the ground. If I mash 2nd I leave strips right now. I also bounced it off the two step a couple times pretty nasty.. I'm happy with the car, will be happier with new tires

NICE dude, glad to hear that a fellow rotary enthusiasts is finally able to enjoy his creation

What tires (size) are you currently running?

Hmmm, 2 step, that's something that I will set up at some point

Right now I got saleen reps 18x9 and 18x10.5
245/35/18 f
265/35/18 r
Continentals almost bald. Even when the tires were good, I feel like the side wall are just to thin and the tires aren't made for traction.. Hooked up the line lock today had some fun trying to get the most out of these tires.

Got my wheels and tires on car plants hard no more spin. Makes the front fell like ice skates. Gotta rent a fender roller cuz when the car squats it rubs the sidewall on the quarter like 1/2-1/4in. I brought to car to work, on some down time i was abled to clean and organize it needs a few more small things, but I'll be ready to turn the boost up soon. Overall I'm pretty happy to have the car back. wish it wasn't gonna rain all week

CONGRATS dude! I too had to roll the fenders, and I ended up chirping the paint in the process

No more rubbing tho!

Post pics when you get a chance.
