Today's missions catch can did some work I need the take it to a machine shop and see if they can get this cap to thread in to the top, then I'll plug the red fitting and drill and add the bulk head fitting this can is made of super thick aluminum pretty surprised its from eBay. I'm gonna also install my battery and negative cable, ecu, and check radio fitment more to come...later as once the battery is installed I can do the rest of my wiring and checks

Today,
I got the wide band working, the oil pressure gauge wired, almost wired the coolant gauge. Spent alot of time checking wires for power and what.not...Cranked the engine for ***** and giggles sounds strong
I need the find the power wire to the fuel pump on the stock harness so I can finish wiring it up. I also need a base map so I can eventually start this thing. In the mean time the coolant gauge needs wiring, boost gauge needs mounting, I need to make a 2 switch panel, for where the AAS switches used to be, for my line lock and turbo timer kill switch. The 2step is set up just have to figure out which of my 3 wires is a 5v source.. the rears gotta come down I'll finish priming and undercoating, the fuel lines will get ran and all new rear suspension goes up. Just got my poly energy suspension bumpstop for my pinion snubber

Then the dreaded rear I'm such a procrastinator I have to doit In order to run the last section of fuel line

This build is an inspiration, one day I hope my car is half as stout. Unfortunately it's hard to step up to this level w/ a daily, lol.

Anyway, comments, criticism, opinions keep them coming.
I know the way I attached my pictures sucks but I'm not spending 3hrs to make a post

The front one at the very least...better safe than sorry.

I can really appreciate the effort you've put in to this project, it's turning out very nicely.

Yeah, it's hard to tell.
I inspected mine when the subframe was out and they were fine visually...I don't know how you'd "test" them beyond that.
I'm also unsure what the symptoms of a bad set would be.

was very tempted to get the comp mounts from mazdatrix but the postage and mess around to me killed the deal

i went for the delrin .. the units i got where OK for the diff.. but need modding a little for the subframe

getting them out has its tricks,, drill bit and a jigsaw with the long plywood blade and a chisel and hammer is the go
.. the trick is in multi drilling then cutting around the centre tube and knocking out just one half side of the bush with a chisel

the secret im sharing though is this little trick i have done with the front diff mount -

the advantages here -
bolt on /off
i maintain a rubberised connection between diff and subframe
.. i still fit the twin 2.5 exhaust and i can quickly adjust the pinion angle if i need to

oversize the hole in the plate for the vertical rod and eye end.. this will allow the rod to correct its position as you adjust the pinion angle in its arc
.. winding the nuts adjusts the pinion angle and or preload

.. a few extra tricks ,,, grease nipples, a cross drill .. and grub screwed with m10 x 1.25 bolt

the subframe stud has a 20mm OD shank at the base , theses cheap delrin bushes need a little counter sink
.. i have maintained a 1mm grease cushion .. the factory is closer to 2mm between stud and bush ID

Thanks man, as for the snubber im gonna use a poly bumpstop at the nose of the diff. After further inspection of my rear diff bushings they're torn gonna replace them with the comp ones. I dont want it too stiff due to this being a street car. I placed my Mazdatrix order yesterday, so I can move forward.. Today I finished under coating the rear, mocked up my fuel lines, and scrapped off 25yrs of grease off my tII diff. Noticed its been taken apart by the guy I bought my original tII from the chassis only had about 80k on it but he used to race it. So idk I'm just gonna do the bushings and beat it till it breaks lol.
Anyway yesterday I went with my friend to go pick up a red tII. 70k on it and the craziest parts for 3500. here a few pix it also came with a oem rebuild kit and haltech ps1000 and some many more unreal parts. This is gonna be my boys car now I have some more friendly competition gotta love Craigslist actually picked it up from Ito's cousin or nephew.
The pix are all over the place srry

It's snowing out was abled to find a garage, cleaned and paint my rear sub frame. Most of the rest of the rear is already painted and done.
Also my girl ordered me a new headunit and flying lead harness for the car. It's a new Sony MEX-BT4000P single din with bluetooth for music and hand free calls. I wanted a double din but they're too much money and I run my oil pressure under the radio.. I think it one of the better looking ones got it on sale yesterday for 130.
Also gonna spend some time organizing and making a list of what's needed for my buddy's motor, and clean up his rotors
