My first ever project car (1988 GXL with a S5 GXL keg)
I finally have the car itself back, but it was a complete nightmare. I'll break it down
The crash happened, and I was being driven to the hospital about 15-20 minutes later. The FC was towed to a local tow yard. Progressive (other guy's insurance) admitted fault and took the car to their own lot to have it evaluated. While it was there, they caused more damage to it, left the windows down through multiple storms, kicked the fenders in to force the doors open (they were specifically told to NOT try to force the hood or doors open), put a hole in the windshield while forcing the hood open, put 2 huge dents in the rear quarter panel (damage was originally fenders forward), nearly ripped off the front bumper, broke the wheel, tried to STEAL my license plate, threw out parts that were in the car, and tried to auction the car off through IAA auctions without my knowledge or consent. I still had the title and both sets of keys
We finally have the car again, and it's with an auto body shop i trust. They're going to get it on a lift and strip everything off the front end to see if they can pull it straight, cut off everything from the strut towers forward, and weld in a tube front from Cagekits. If it costs more money than I can actually spend (being a college student making $16 an hour part time), then I might have to just sell all the parts and get a different car
I didn't explain most of this in the video I just posted, but there's a bit of information. I'll have another video soon going into detail
