Skirts fit well there is a slight contour difference (between it and the fender) where it wraps around the edge. The skrit kinda rounds the corner so there is a bit of a gap. Though it looks fine so no issue. Need to locate holes and for mounting and the holes where it goes under the plastic door sill and attaches. Its a bit tight when the door closes but manageable. Very tight fit from the QTR to the front fender which is nice.

The rounded bit around the fender...

Back looks perfect.

The front bumper is a bit of a pain. Party due to my car's previous damage. Partly the kit's fault. I ordered the kit in the flexible FRP (fiber reinforce plastic) so the area where it bolts to the front of the car flexes. This when I try to align it to the hood gap it flexes the "L" shaped part making it impossible. I will have to go back to trying to adapt the S4 support to fit. (cut it up to fit.)

Adapting the S4 bracket to fit.

Looks good around the headlamps... so it is surely just the center part...

Passenger side fits like a glove. I'll have to do a skim coat of filler on the bumper to get the round top edge to match the fender perfectly but the rest looks amazing!

Wish I could say the same for the passenger side. Lots of work needed still!

I'm a bit unsure on how to attach the part of the bumper that wraps around the fender to the fender itself. The lip on the fender is very small so a screw wont work and I don't have an ugly bolt/rivets holding it on in plain sight! Last resort I'll fabricate some tabs.

Hooray!

Sent an email out to japan to la, hopefully will be getting my Turbo 13b soon! Will likely be sending it out to possibly pineapple or rotary ressurection for a street port and rebuild as I don't really want to mess with it. Also picked up a roll of fine weaved carbon fiber and layup epoxy! Soon to come

Got the front end together. Picket up a TII spoiler and hood. Got them home, diassemblee them followed by an a full stipping by DA and aircraft stripper. quick dry and few more passes with the DA and I primed them. Will block tomorrow night likely. Spoiler is awaiting primer still. It is a bit dried out and cracks so repair is needed. Same with the plastic scoop for the hood...

Shine kit needed a bit of work on the corners where it met the fenders and the top nose was a bit wavy. Fixed and primed.

I'm thinking paint by SATURDAY! (Crossing fingers XD)

Looking good. Were you thinking of a new set of wheels at some point?

I've got my eyes on some nice beefy mazdaspeed 5-spoke rimes. Eventually I'll post a pic find them and buy them but next will be the motor and suspension.

While I got a lot done, it was a pretty shitty day. Personal life aside, the front is painted and the fenders will need redone. There is a very slight crown in the body line on both of them. Just enough to make it wavy. Pretty pissed I missed this. Will sand down a redo Monday depending if I get up tomorrow or not and feel like working.

More of snow white!

Shine bumper was a bitch to paint. All the deep openings are very hard to get evenly coated.

I'm thinking these (Mazda Speed?) wheels, though I don't know much about them other than I like the design... Either in the gold like the picture to follow or gloss black (and I'll paint the rim/lip white.)

(not my car)

Will try to get spoiler, light covers and finish up the front end over this weekend if I'm sober enough.

Having a hell of a time trying to find JDM S5 moldings (ones without the side marker lights.) Any help is appreciated.

First step is get the running TII in. I'd like to add one afterward though. I have a few cores from other projects around that I'll likely try to use depending on fitment. But, that will be much later.

S5 rear converted... may still do the clear light mod (remove the diffuser inside the light so they are clear with LED's. But, that will be much later.

Should I get some emblems? Savanna?

Mid mount of the rear half bumper. Urethane adhesive... never fun. I scrapped the diffuser idea. After talking with ken I'd only be able to use the center section without custom building everything... and even then it would tunnel air INTO part of the half bumper that hangs down. Also wasn't liking the 2.5 week build time plus the 1 week time to ship the part he told me... I didn't want to wait 1 month before mounting the diffuser. It's summer and I want to drive!

Ash @ Mazdatrix came through again and the first batch of lights rolled in. I managed to order some mint FTP's from another member to. They only thing left is to wire up the front turn assemblies and assemble for the FINAL time

I think it is safe to say I'm 90% of the way done with the body. Headlamp covers, a few moldings and, the spoiler left! I may go to aero mirrors later, I'd really like some R-Magic ones but there pretty hard to find. Till then my painted S4's look nice.

I was asked why I didn't do the headlamp covers yet. Reason being as they give me something to line the fenders/hood/bumper up to saving me some time.

I've got a bit more work to do on fitting the side skirts You can see a gap towards the ends of the tops. Tape didn't do any good because the parts have a lip that sits out higher than the rest of the surface so the 2 rows of 3m tape don't touch the fender/qtr panel to stick. If all else fails one dab of urethane will work, despite anyones ability to see them once the moldings are on.

Still need to install the door seals/weather stripping. It is very tight currently. Hopefully it will still work.

Began ordering suspension parts so far ordered,
Corskport Front and Rear Strut Tower bars (2 weeks out backorder)
Racing Beat Front and Rear Anti-Sway bars w/ adjustable end links.

Still thinking about if I want to go coilovers or traditional shocks. I built a set for my last car and wasn't to fond of them, I had way to stiff of a spring (drag only front 375#/400# rear lbs.) I don't care much for slammed and tucked FC's (flame-suit on.) I'd prefer around a 1"-1.5" drop, keep the wheel fully visible. Thus, I'm strongly leaning toward KYB AGX and Racing Beat springs.

When I get to installing it all, I'll then re-black out the wheel wells in the rear.

I love looking down the side of the car. FC's sexy lines with this kit look great, the rear of the door where the skirt veers outward is "mmmmmmmmm!"

Ugh, so many little things to do that I cannot let my self let go that it feels like I'll never get the exterior done. Quick mental notes for myself.

1. Find new fiberglass/carbon hood scoop (or RE reverse style preferred.) For same reasons as no.2

2. Find new fiberglass/carbonfiber GTU spoiler. OEM plastic, rubbery-foam crap. The crack are un-fixable. Soon as the substrate gets some sun they 'ghost' right back through the paint.

3. Find a pair of windshield washer squirters for the hood. Good condition and not PAINTED.

3. Pull interior to lower front-right corner of sunroof so it is flush with the roof. Adjust the L door inwards too.

4. Clear mod the S5 tailights.

5. Still waiting on my front turn signals...

6. Still waiting on my interior trim parts from Mazdatrix too...

7. And a new windshield molding...

I managed to get some work done today. Wetsanding and polishing... my least favorite part of body work. Especially on clear that has had some time to set up and harden. I managed to get the L and R SIDES wetsanded and loosely polished. I still need to sand a bit more then course compound followed by a medium cut, to a polish, machine glaze, hand glaze then finally first post-paint car wash! Sadly me a summer don't get along with working long hours and sweating in a garage... so it's going slow per say.

Blacked out behind the fuel door. Will also use the same product for doing the wheel wells when I get to it. (When I do the suspension.)

Corksport Strut bars arrived making for a nice mid-day surprise.

A few pictures where she sits. I hate polishing. I get to stare at a car with a lens until my eyes burst and my ****, perfection-istic brain shuts down...

Door dingers are off on the door atm... just waiting until I finish polishing to fix them.

Thanks all.

After almost a month, my OEM windshield squirters arrived. Costly buggers at $47.

Soon after Mazdatrix packages rolled in. Lens, Grilles, few trim clips and the trim for the side of the windshield.

Now for the annoying part and biggest 'hick-up' I'm having, locating the correct turn signal housings (on the front bumper.) I'm looking for the ones that match the clear S5 lenses. I've bought 3 sets now and all different. The latest one I picked up is the right width (s5) but the length is too short.

And mazdatrix, where I got the lenses is back-ordered on the housing assemblies...
Here is a picture of the lens sitting in the bumper.

Anyone has info or the correct set for sale, LMK.
