time to put the pedal to the metal on my "do one thing a day" mantra -

Sunday I potentially have a return to racing I just need to finish all my welding/grinding/bondo/primer/windshield and seats/belts...

the list grows more than it shrinks, lets hope i can finish all my welding and grinding by Tuesday night.

I don't mean for cliffhangers, I'm just absent minded!

and ta da I did manage to make it ice racing, it wasn't pretty but grabbing 4th gear on the lake was very satisfying - if I can do this you can finish your project!

I was only on 3 studded tires for the day because one leaked too much and by the time that the day was over i destroyed 1 tire and the other studded tires were all leaking pretty bad that you just heard hissing in the trailer.

I had flatted 2 tires and blew a 3rd and was on 1 non studded tire in a different size but it was worth it. once its thawed out of the trailer I will begin to finish the other structure welding stuff and begin the cosmetic stuff.

here we go!

got the front corner done so the structure part of the car is complete and now I begin cosmetic bullE36 M3

I will keep it all white for the short term, I found some weird negative spots that need some bondo/sand on the passenger door but other than that it looks pretty good I'll work to add the stripes back in soon once I got the body all together and complete.

Really good thread from start to here. I’ve enjoyed the ride lol, that flip was insane, it’s a miracle the car took as little damage as it did even with a cage.

Now we're talking! Rules change at all that now allow a semi-PP? For some reason I was thinking that you'd be limited to port type for your class.

ahh sorta yes and no. for 2wd there are 2 classes. Limited (largely stock) and Open (go hog wild)

I am not in limited anymore but I did change the rules to clarify and allow streetports in limited because they can change cams but rotaries cant port? didnt make sense. so with the rule clarified it helps others but does me no good since some other parts of the build put me in open class (barely) but im more competitive in that class versus just beating up on newbies in the limited class. Some people stay in that class for cost reasons but really should raise to the next level but thats a personal decision and not done by the organizers like other motorsports.

now with everything on the level I will probably tear the motor down after snodrift next year and semi PP it for the remainder of the 27 season. RN i just want to drive it and get it ready for our Michigan rotary BBQ and local rallycross or some other local drifting events.
