A few updates good and bad.
I killed the diff on the dyno so wasnt able to see the full potential of the E85.
I still got 401rwhp at 13.5 psi for the BP98 pump fuel.
Ive now changed the diff and fixed a few minor issued but havnt changed the fuel out yet to thrath it about.
Box: Feels great so far. Its so nice having a long first gear, doesnt feel useless like the old box. No need for 6th yet haven't tried that high rpm shifts yet but was fine on the dyno at 8000rpm.
DBW: Love it. doesn't need any screws or adjustments as the computer just opens it a little bit to do all the idle control. I live on a steep driveway and when the car was cold if I reverse out it would always stall when getting to the top when decelling off the pedal. Doesnt do it now, very happy.
Also the haltech 1500 does closed loop control on the throttle, so it will constantly change the % its open to keep the set rpm. Even with a 90mm single TB blade it will idle at 900rmp no problems.
The tuner didnt even know it had DBW as it feels so normal.
I need to fix my decel rates, getting some flames as next to no effort right now.
But - the down point is I still need to get the tune fixed. I did stuff one bit up.

How did that happen on the DYNO? Got power?

Well small update as had the car back for a bit now.
So looks like the tail shaft I had manufactured was slightly to long (3-4mm) and is the reason the diff died. I never picked it but lucky the workshop that did my repairs did. Ah well live and learn
No damage to the gear box. put in another diff and been cruising about.
Drained the E85 out as the tune wasn't complete and put the pump back in.
Shes' running great.
TR6060 - Love it! the long 1st gear is awesome! Haven't used 6th yet. Clutch feels really good but its still very short in the pedal throw. no issues with 8000 rpm. reverse lock out is working a treat. I do need to get a signal generator to make the dash spedo work.
DBW - Again love it. Flawless on the idle, even on the Decel where I use to have an issue is a prefect. no issues at all with low speeds and pottering about - people use to say having a large single would be **** to drive. I haven't noticed that at all.
Anyway will try to get some video's soon. Just bought another house so will be moving soon and short on cash for a bit...

NICE!
Which turbine housing are you running, 1.0? How much boost are you planning on running? Where you running a boost controller on that 13psi dyno pass?
Well a bit of an update. Back in May while out driving, looks like a fuel line failed. Fuel got on the exhaust and I had an engine bay fire.
Scared the **** out of me. Lots of damage even thought it didnt look that bad. Insurance and I after some discusssions we seattled on a payment and Ive been slowly pulling it all appart doing a rebuild.
Destroyed wiring loom.
Dead Engine
Potential damage to the turbo.
Damage to the paintwork.
Etc Etc.
So updates to come. Im logging this all on a facebook page now. But currently working on:
Pulled the engine - Parts look ok no major damage
Pulled the interiour (had a burnt smell)
Rewiring the car and adding a PDM and doing the loom's as best I can.
Will rebuild the engine.
Hopefully a new Exhaust manifold.... I want Elliots from turbosource but it doesnt fix dual 44mm wastegates..
Repaint the engine bay - Im thinking a white now
Rapaint the car - Is cheaper to repain the full car then fix the air brushing
yeah I thought about calling it quits. it was a ok payout (could have bought another car for it) but I was bored while it was away.
Anyway started the new loom yesterday
Just going back to your TR6060 choice, was your donar the VE series GTS and not the VF GTS supercharged trans (do you know the" tuet "number) They have different length front shafts and with some issues around the QuickTime BH length it would be handy to know as your swap worked sweet.
Cheers
I have a bunch of information on doing a proper Tremec Magnum (NOT TR6060) for a 13B on my build page.
I'll connect you to the right people if you're still on the fence. Still need to find the input shaft dimensions so I can properly Wire EDM my clutch center cam (ORC559D).
Given my 4.56 Final Drive Ratio and 25" to 26" tall rear tire configuration (haven't decided on final size yet), the TUET11009 is my transmission of choice with a longer 1st gear and 6th gear OD that's actually usable.

Cheers that would be great. I had read your write up on Aus Rotary but could only find your reference "HSV GTS". Seeing I'm down this end of the world I would like to use a local box as well. Your adaption went really well.
Big job ahead by the look of it with the wiring, good luck.
