Next I will mount most of the parts and figure out how much room I have to run brake lines and fill in the holes in the firewall

i like your build, its gonna turn out really nice i think.

the stock filter actually is inline, so moving it actually would be really easy, you just need to find a spot where it would fit, and in reality the stock spot is gonna be kind of hidden still

Thanks! Good to know about the OEM fuel filter, I mainly want to get rid of the OEM hardlines that run up the firewall just figured might as well not show the OEM fuel filter cartridge.

Yep I'm quite surprised how smooth it has gone so far. I'm also going to try and mount the jspec windshield wiper assembly and fully functional heater through vents and defrost.

That's one of the biggest reasons I decided to cut the sections out of my US firewall, it's necessary to keep the US VIN number on the firewall and all the US safety equipment like the crash bar.

I just placed my order for all my brake lines and fittings, I was lucky my neighbor loaned me the flare tool, bender and cutter. I spent just under $200 for -3 stainless steel line and AN fittings. Hope I don't need to purchase anymore.

Man, I've been on a never ending search for the jspec climate-control unit. I can't seem to figure out which model it came on. Is your front clip a Series 4 GTX?

I know this clip is from a Series 4 but not sure if it's a GTX. I didn't even know it was something special until a good friend of mine who is a DIE Hard FC collector his eyes practically popped out and said "you are one lucky person" haha

Well he's right! Anyways, cherish that piece because you'll probably never see another one again. Now, sorry for derailing your build.

All the LHD holes are welded shut and grinded down flat, all that's needed to apply some filler to smooth out the filled holes

Hopefully all my brake lines and fittings come in soon so I can get those routed, It's almost looking like a engine bay again.

I tried to keep most of the parts within the same generation but I just couldn't find anything I really liked for the audio..A good friend of mine sold me this Sony unit for a pretty good deal that I just couldn't pass up.

Why didn't you fully weld in your patches on the firewall? A few more min. of welding is worth it IMO

There's plenty of coverage on the patches, the firewall is pretty thin for my experience to risk burning holes through the firewall.

Yeah measured countless times and I noticed there's a indentation on the frame where the bracket sits perfectly, also before I welded the bracket in place I used self tapping screws to hold it in place and double check the measurement was spot on and didn't move.
