Do you think the compressor would surge if the car was run at 14.5 PSI? Or how about 17PSI?
I know that is right on the surge line. I am thinking about running one on an FD, if the 8374 is that much better I might just go that route.

Car is only seeing 12.8v at full charge. Dual 460lph( currently not staged) and the ewp has put an extra strain on the system.
The 9180 only surges above 17psi below 3k and above 19 psi to 3500rpms roughly. 8374 does the same, its just does it at higher boost in the lower revs.

I cracked the rear iron when I got past 31psi a day prior to the dyno. Car was spinning the tires at 100MPH in 4th gear at 31-33psi.
I am actually still sticking a S4 rear iron back on with a set of our studs, and some other goodies... Its almost done, just been too busy with customer's cars...

I do have an observation/quibble though.
Seems like it would have been easier and ultimately, neater to change the inlet bung on the rad rather than make the snake tube for the upper hose.
True, but my racing experiences tell me there is a whole lot to be said for stock fitting parts that can be refit with a quick substitute when the original meets an untimely end.
Bespoke parts are cool, but not so easy to swap out.

Races are won by the guy with the most spares
