Car wont start...anything new?

So here's the story, I recently bought an 86' NA that had a blown engine, but came with full tank of gas! and I decided I would swap in an 87' TII (engine only) into the car. I am using the NA's EM harness. I have all necessary parts for the swap, AFM, ECU, boost sensor...I have also put in a walboro 255 fuel pump, new fuel filter, new o2 sensor, new battery, and changed the oil and transmission oil. Everything is plugged in (but i will double check). I've read on here that you can fry your ECU if you try to start the car without splicing in the resistors for the injectors, so I'm a little worried about that as I tried to start it prior to knowing this. For some reason, when I try to start the car it cranks and the fan spins but it sounds like it just needs that extra push to get it going. I'm assuming the engine has been sitting for a long time so that might be one of the reasons but i dont know.

Here's a list of what I have done so far:
-Spliced in 10ohm 10 watt resistors on the injector side
-Checked all the fuses (both from the inside and under the hood) to see if they were blown, but they're all good
-tried unflooding procedure --> Rotary Performance Technical Articles
-took off bottom spark plugs to check for spark, i has
-Cut the P/S / Knock plug on ECU not sure about the pin #

What i'm going to do this week:
-check all grounds/clean
-check voltage on ECU to see if the injectors are in right
-if necessary change fuel (still looks good, nothing forming in the gas tank)
-Spin CAS if necessary
-NA split wires/ solenoid as a twin scroll control by following this procedure--> https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...ontrol-262433/

I also had a few questions:
-The air pump should be connected to the ACV, Air filter, or split air pipe?
-How can i check if the ECU is fried?
-Any suggestions, what should I do next?

Schools starting in 2 weeks so I am in dire need of a ride and lets face it, Rex's are chick magnets. However if I cant seem to get it started within a week, I'll have no other choice than to get a mechanic and for a broke college student, not good. Any opinions or suggestions of what I should do will not go unheard and I appreciate any responses given.
Thanks FO+UR - RUM
