Custom Tamon Design LED Wing!

Only the driver side is bolted down. I need to ever so slightly widen the hole in the trunk that gives access to the right side bolt. I could not get the socket in at the right angle to thread the nut on.

I think it looks pretty badass.

could they have not gotten the waves out of the glass before painting it?

Also is the gas door protruding past the fender line and were there any small ones?

Replicating the LED strip as well?
I used a 38 inch strip of these: http://www.oznium.com/led-flex-strips
The resin window in the wing is 36 inches.

The spoiler didn't get wet sanded and finished yet. Its one of the things I need to bring the car back to the body shop for. They did alot of work to that spoiler just to get it to this condition and fitment.

Me too, but I'm not about to roll my car outside into a blizzard to take a picture, though it might make a good pic....

I meant to answer this before, but I forgot. No, it does not come up past the fender line. It does protrude outward from the body slightly by about 1/4 inch. From the camera angles on the other side of the car you can see it.

If you get one of those spoilers hold it up to the light and look at the trailing edge of the spoiler from the underside. You should see what gave me the idea to put the LEDs in.

Mazdatrix Endlinks installed with pics just for Dave!

Rear Camber Link Installed

I dialed out alot of the camber in the rear. Still needs a little more adjusting, but thats not a priority at the moment. More to come eventually.

Your supposed to leave one side unbolted until the car gets corner weighted with simulated weight distribution so you can dial out the preload in the sway bar

btw, I'd keep the eurathane bushings and not replace them with solid or metal/bearings unless you are serious about putting your car through some track duty. The noise and extra vibrations are not worth the sacrifice (imho) on a street/show car. Your car is WAY too nice to abuse on the track except on rare occasions. I'd look into that "Clear Armor" or other paint protective systems no matter what you end up doing with it though.

Pfft... preload... Overrated!

He He, I know dude. Its gonna be a while until the car is ready to hit the road, or for the roads to be drivable, before that needs to be done. Alot of weight is also missing from the car at the moment, so I just bolted everything up so I don't lose any of the parts. My front links kit was actually missing 2 of the spacers so I gotta call mazdatrix tomorrow and see if they can send me a pair. The preload will be taken care of when the time is right.

Yeah, I have been thinking about that with the bushings. I don't plan on replacing them anytime soon. The urethane has ~1k miles on it anyway. I do plan to track the car occasionally, possibly every weekend, I dunno. I've managed to excite and motivate(strange because I can't motivate myself sometimes) a couple of my friends into wanting to go out to the track for fun on the weekends pretty regularly over the summer with me just from telling them how much I want to get the car on the track and have a blast. But I will do alot of street driving and the eurethane is probably a good compromise for now, its stiffer than stock, but not solid and can be changed to stiffer\solid if needed.

I will definitely be looking into paint protection. Not an issue at the moment. The car still needs to go back to the body shop for some touching up anyway.

You forgot to modify the winsheild wipers. You need a bigger wiper motor to handle the extra amount of win hitting the winsheild. Your car is so full of win, anymore win would totally damage the car.

Look closely, there are no wipers. I will spray some Win-X on the windshield so that the win just glides off.

LoL, the wipers just haven't been put back on. I will put them back on after I get the car running. The wiper arms are freshly painted flat black. My body guy didn't want me to put them back on until the car had power and I made sure the wiper motor was stopped in the down position. Apparently he has reinstalled wipers only to find out once they were turned on again that they were stopped in the halfway up position and came farther down than they should and fucked up the paint on a hood.

One to look into that I've tried out recently on our shop truck is from Dominion Sure Seal - its a spray on product. Unlike the tape from 3M (which is great stuff!) this can be applied more successfully to curved surfaces and small areas (behind wheels? ) and can be easily repaired/re-shot if needed as opposed to redoing the whole piece and hoping you don't pull paint off at the same time if the 3M clear guard is used.

I can get a # off it if you're interested.
