Not true, actually if you get the right stuff put on the bed liner stuff specifically RHINO LINER is almost 1/3 of an inch thick, there should be no way any small rock could thrust through 1/3 of an inch to spider the backside of those fenders, I throw boulders in the back of my truck and looking underneath at the bottom of the bed there isnt so much as a dent in my bed much less any cracks or anything.

Actually - no. See I've tried it. We've done lots of FG flares for customers and I apply Dominion Sure Seal products - Enviro Liner and Elephant Hyde. Final mil thickness is just under 1/4" and yes, you'll get starbursts from stones....not as easily as if no bedliner were applied, but a fender liner is the end all solution.
I wouldn't spout BS - I've done it. Latest example was some FG fenders on an old Navistar transport with Elephant hyde....
The problem is that the bedliner will flex, fiberglass doesn't. The only way to completely stop it is to seperate the impact area from the fiberglass surface you're protecting. End of story. Your truck bed is COMPLETELY different from a fiberglass fender
No comment on tucking tires after inner fenders are made up. Juiceh's going to do what he wants anyways - I'm just trying to let him know from experience that doing the bedliner will still leave him with the chance of rock damage on his FG fenders.

There were no survivors
man dont put wheel wells!!! If you do, you are killing the benefits of widebody if your going to limit the size with those. Means you cant tuck rim. Dont listen to what all the people here say, remember your probably the first person here with that extreme of a build up I couldnt take advice from people who rock stockers

Regarding fender liners, just by a sheet of soft acrylic and cut to fit. It is the easiest and most effective solution and is relatively inexpensive. Sheets can be had in many colors, thicknesses and textures from sources like Tap Plastics.
You could also run some mud flaps

ok its cool. Still gonna keep the brake duct scoops functional right?
I dont think you would have to worry about damaging the insides of the fg fenders unless your planin to drive on some shitty roads/offroading, which i doubt this car will even see.
Widebody Porsche 911s dont even have fender lining

ok i said its cool, i was just showing that fender linings arent really needed.
Its more just a "added luxury" to the quality of the build.
But spraying it with a protective layer of something like bedliner does sound good =D
Those pics where from a quick google search, even if the car isnt finished, porsches of that setup dont rock em, some of them are fiberglass fenders too.

I figure you could probably make some fender linings by joining 2 together though

I got the idea after taking the Tamon wing out of the packaging and looking it over. You see, the Tamon wing was so crappy that if you held it up to the light and looked through the underside you could actually see light coming through the seem where the top and rear of the spoiler were joined with resin. I guess they never fully gel coated it after that. So I came up with the idea to try to remove the gel coat further and create a window if possible or cut out a small section and refill it with resin to create the window to mount the LEDs behind. The 2nd route(cutting & refilling with resin) is what we ended up doing.

Yep, they did that when they did the door jams. They took the glass out and took care of that whole area.
I'll drop by the shop tomorrow. I gotta take my turn signal lenses to them so they can darken them up a bit with some body color and clear. I keep forgetting to do that. They are also going to do that for 1 set of my tail lights.

Tails lightly smoked with body color & plate surround painted body color:
^You can also see my mirrors in the background in the upper right above the SL500's trunk.
There's not enough room to get a straight shot of the rear from farther back than 6 feet.
Almost looks a little like carbon fiber doesn't it:
RB Wing tweaking:
The ends of the RB wing sit about 1/8 of an inch above the quarter panels. The shop owner was concerned about the trunk being slammed and the wing ends whack against the quarter panels. I personally will be very careful with the trunk because I've though of this myself. But you never know, I may have to let my brother borrow the car or something and he could use the trunk and slam it harder than it needs t be. Considering the fact that I will be using a single trunk shock that is stronger than both the stockers it will be a little harder to close so this could be a real concern. So the shop owner is adding a little bit more glass to the pedestals si that it has 1/4 inch of clearance on the ends.
The color has some deep blueish pearl to it. Looks like almost a burple pearl.
For the most part its black\sliverish with a blue hue. The paint does awesome things in the sunlight. But its not that purple chameleon paint you see on alot of cars.
