"big red" revived from the death n/a to tii

Hey guys here is the story of Big Red. 1991
NO PICTURES OF ACTUAL WORK ONLY AFTER IT WAS DONE
I got into rx7s when i was 15 from playing gran turismo 3, watching Initial D and wagan midnight for some reason the fc stand out more than the rest of the cars on those animes, anyways i got my first rx7 when i was 18 back in 2008 which only last me a couple of months before an oil ring gave up. after i sold that one my uncle had offer me his red Fc which was sitting 2years at his drive way and it was sitting since 2003 when his nephew blow the engine. When i saw it i said to my self this is the one, The interior super clean no cracks on the dash what so ever, black interior, driver seat only a small rip. on the down side no engine/tranny/diff so i went on a quest to revive it from the death. little by little i collected parts, got a 89 tranny/engine swap turbo II from a guy in montebello which became one of my good friends, and also helped me swap in the car. after 1year of putting parts together and couldnt turn on the car, i decided to drop it off at JRX in Balwin Park, then juni called me to give me the bad news of a broken apex seal. So then i decided to go all the way. got the car after 5months since the line was Huge (cant believe how many cars juni gets)

Here are the mods

Complete Turbo TII swap engine/drive train/lsd
Rebuild and mild Street ported by Juni @ JRX
Microtech Lt8 w/ handset
Godspeed Rad
Unknown 14" Ebay electric Fan
RB sway Bars
CP Racing tower Bar
Tokiko shocks w/ Racing beat springs
255 walbro fuel pump

currently sitting on
Works 16x8

everything stock at the min except for the mild street port and microtech

after v-mount, i will upgrade injectors 750cc primary 1000-1200cc secondary,fuel pressure regulator, not 100% sure on turbo, i will most likely send it to rebuild and change the internals to T04 and port the westgate to boost 15psi, Juni @JRX told me it can make around more or less 400whp with those specs, and i will upgrade most lines to stainless steel.

after the engine is done in about 1-2months i will be upgrading my suspension, and rims/tires, going with
Stance GR+ coilovers
XXR 527 or 522, 17x9 or 17x9.75
replace all suspension bushings
then maybe install a body kit or at least the TII aero, for now leaning over the RE FC2000 kit
car will be track/weekend car

Nice. Yeah... With a premium tune, you could get 400RWHP. You'll need quite a few other things, too.

I currently run the FC2000 replica bumper from Shine Auto Project, and highly recommend it.

I'm pretty sure i am forgetting some stuff, I will also have the microtech with 2 maps, one for 10psi for normal street driving and one for 15psi.

just order a hks turbo timer and i will order a boost controller next pay check.

Turbo timers are kind of a waste. Efficient turbos are oil and water-cooled. (Like our stock turbos. I have a BNR stage 4.) So, it's not like you must sit and let the car idle an extra minute or three before turning it off. I bought an APEX'i turbo timer before I found out that it wasn't completely necessary. It gives me a somewhat inaccurate AFR reading (narrow-band). I only use it now to display my battery voltage. And even that is unnecessary... Because my stock battery voltage gauge works just fine.

Racing beat sells quality products. I've heard the Corksport exhaust is way too loud. I have no experience with CS, though. I guess it is personal preference.

I like mine, and I think it's a decent sound level. Bare in mind I'm an 18 year old kid who still likes to annoy the neighbors a bit... But if I really wanted it quiet I could just throw the silencer in there, but meh don't care enough to.

Talking

@misterstyx69
it came with the car, actually my uncle didn't want to give it to me, he was gona install it in his 3rd gen but then found out it didn't fit.
looks custom made thought, since my short shifter is really really short, the ball is 2 lbs and the rotor engrave in the top.

@dwb87
really? i thought everyone recommends turbo timers so you wont blow your engine during hard driving.

@REAmemiya_fan
I kind of mind sound level, since i live in one of the worst cities where cops hassle anyone for anything.... Los Angeles...... but then again it wont be a daily drive after is completely done. and i can always install the silencer like you said

progress on the v-mount

pick up a apexi n1 exhaust, right now i have
2.5" RB downpipe
2.5" RB presilencer
3" unknown hi flow cat
3"small presilencer
to
3" piping to the apexi n1

i have to take the car back to jrx to finish the v-mount since i pickup up unfinish for sevenstock, still need to do shrouds and intake box.
when i drop it off it will stay there for a few weeks to get all the upgrades to boost 10-11psi
