UPDATE:

Went today and weighed the FC. This weight includes me(190lbs) and 7 gallons of gas(42lbs total)..................

I am totally surprised! The company just got there scale calibrated last week and it only has a 5lb error varience WOW. I figured being the heavy turboII model and having the LS1 would have made the car tip 3K easy.

I am happy

As for the FC, I have been driving it around like a mad man, getting some miles on the LS7 clutch and just seeing how the car reacts. I leave next thursday for the tune. :drive:

BTW...all horrible crush bending fixed

Well we made it home yesterday..........it was a nightmare getting back. Old man winter HAD to have his last storm the day I come back from my tune!! Talk about a major pucker factor going over two of the passes at 5950FT with no chains(they were making everybody put on chains...we had none.

Rain and snow the whole way back....my car got some minor road rash

Lets sum it up for you with pictures:

Car loaded on Uhaul after cursing and having to remove some **** on the trailer to clear the front lip. *Cant open driver door once loaded since car is so low. You have to climb out the window....fun :'(

Then the car cover. NOW the only reason I ran a car cover was last month when I went to Spokane for a family death there was a TON of gravel everywhere. I figured I would take some paint chaffing over rock chips anyday. Soo I put masking tape on all the "high" areas of the body. It worked too, the only parts that got chaffed were the sides of the A and C pillars, and the rear fender.

On the dyno

Dyno vidsurl=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMPoxNbTq4k#]LS1 FC3S Dyno pull[/url]
...LOL I trip on a metal pipe in this vidLS1 FC3S Dyno pull #2

Dyno sheet (yellow lines are best pull, the green was the first pull of the day in 3rd gear for tune testing)

Same pull but power levels if at sea level

.....engine bay soooo dirty :'( :'( ...took me 2 hours last night to detail again

The bad weather coming back...after seeing no gravel there we decided to ditch the cover since the weather was supposed to be decent...... lol

The worse weather at the passes....

Now I have to do some major polishing and overall car clean up. Car show next weekend....got to get to work.

So nice to be finished.......kinda

Anyway the car is running great and FINALLY the weather is nice so the good driving starts

The NSX and the Civic race car are one of my good buddies(guy in orange jacket). He is trying to sell the NSX. Civic race car has a Integra Type R Motor and **** ton of mods. Car is stripped down to nothing and the motor makes about 196 FWHP....fun car

Nope, since there is no airbag in the vehicle and there are only 2 seats, state law permits her to sit up front as long as she is in a booster seat approved for her age/weight. Many people who own bench seat single cab trucks do this as well.

She loves riding in it since she can see over the dash with the booster seat. She is 5 1/2

That's rad! My little girl is 7, same story, loves riding up front since the airbags in our cars are disabled with her weight. We had a friend lend us his 360 Spider for the weekend so she sat on my lap and drove it, shifted gears too with the gated shifter! In a parking lot though.

What does she think of your car?

Lol, a 360 spider ......lucky little girl! My dad let me do that in his...... 72 Ford F150 haha

She LOVES the car. She is always asking a million questions about the gauges and what not...drives me crazy . Every now and then I give it about 1/2 throttle and she just laughs so hard. I dont have the heart to do full throttle yet.....traction issues and I am just not comfortable doing that with her in the car.

Yesterday there was a blue neon parked downtown. We were in Subway eating and she looked over and said, "Look daddy, its you car!" I just laughed and said I hope not babe. Any blue 2-door car she sees is my blue car lol.

So I ended up spending 8 hours today polishing and waxing the FC for a Car show this Sat at the local City Chevrolet

I had the usual **** to do: Polished the wheels, deep cleaned the interior and engine bay, polished odds and ends

Now I just got done waxing the car back in early May......why am I waxing it again you ask?...Well for future FYI: The Turtle Wax "synthetic" liquid wax is garbage. It only lasted 3 washes on me. With that wax gone and leaving my paint exposed, my 3-stage compound/polish I did after the dyno trip was not as good as I thought(used liquid ice...professional **** but too aggresive IMHO)....it was starting to show some major holograph swirls in my clear.

So I did some research and bought some Meguiars M105 and M205 compounds since detailers swear by the stuff. I only used the M205 since I wanted to start with the less aggressive stuff first...and it worked GREAT! I had to apply it by hand since my polisher was down. Man the stuff takes out all fine swirls with one coat.

THEN I needed a different wax. I didnt want to do the paste BUT wanted carnuaba wax, luckily I found Armor All Butter Smooth Wax. I saw it on Speed channel all the time and boy oh boy the stuff WORKS AWESOME! You just wipe it on and wipe it off...no hazing. It is almost like it soaks into the clear really fast, almost like it is evaporating...its crazy to watch.

Here are the results:

This shot in the direct sun...no swirls at all!!:

I will have some pics of the car show when its over.

Oh BTW: here are some vids of me just cruising around still being nice on the motor a while back. There is short WOT pull at 7 min on the front fender vid, 1st-2nd-3rd-4th letting off at 105mph due to the truck. shitty audio with non-waterproof case. I was checking suspension/fender/tire clearence with these vids:

Car show went great. I got a large amount of attention, lol I actually stole the show from this all original, matching numbers 67' Camaro right next to me. He polished that bad boy all morning and come time when the show opened sooo many people were talking to me and looking at the FC. The guy was a little pissy until the end of the show when he wanted to actually hear about all the woot-wa was about.....he was impressed.

MAN, the Corvette guys are the funniest. They made it where I almost couldnt get a break....sooo many questions, then they would drag over some more friends and say, "check this crazy **** out!" They were actaully a blast

I didnt place but one of the judges told me my FC was discussed and was a very close runner. Really I was just happy to have it out and shoot the **** with gear heads.

Tell me I dont look out of place....haha

Here is a link to all the pics of the bad *** vehicles at the show:
